Love, love love it! Apears you also removed the chute spring, very easy to do, however. Will chop mine this weekend...
@cameltoegeo7 күн бұрын
Also can take the chute right off and make a flat plate to bolt over the opening, since youre goal is to not have grass fly out, that section of chute you're leaving does zilch.....poor man's mulch setup 🤷♂️

Really funny this popped up because I was just planning to do this exact thing with my new walk behind, except I was going to use 1" rubber stall mat instead of wood. You're the first I've seen use the original guard, and I was surprised I hadn't seen it before when I thought of it. I even had the same idea with the rope haha. Great job!

It doesn’t, it leaves a row of grass behind . I made one a little different but similar concept and that was my problem. For my gravely 48”

What's the reason for disconnecting the battery?
@Eurospec736 ай бұрын
You should always consider replacing the tensioner pulley as well, because when an alternator goes bad, the pulley typically fails putting more wear and tear on the other pulleys, causing them to fail as well, so if you just swap out the alternator and put on a new belt with an old tensioner pulley, your alternator could possibly fail again, just looking out for you. Thanks for posting.

@@MrHorkster very. One thing I can say on mine is there's not much room to work on the lower bolt even with a 1/4 inch drive rachet, but still only took me like 10 minutes.

The string can be tied anywhere...you don't have to tie it low. But to each there own. We run 6 zero turns...so this says me a ton of money.

How would I unloose the timing belt without a crow bar or I need it
@stevenlong453611 ай бұрын
Seems like it would leave a thick trail of unmulched grass behind. Only reason I say this is because it’s too far from the blades and it will loose vortex and fall down
@tricksofthetrade438511 ай бұрын
Yes, that exactly what it does...and is ment to do. Most chute blocks that are even with the deck leave clumps that come out the back...this one leaves a nice wind row of grass that you can disperse on your next pass going the opposite direction. Hope this explains things. Thanks!

What causes the throtle body to get dirty?
@jojack2289 ай бұрын
Carbon buildup, debris, the air filter can't stop all of it. Even the air you're breathing now is probably contaminated with unseen particles. Thankfully our lungs clean themselves.

I didn't need to, but you might want to let it run for a minute or 2 with the cap off to bleed the air out.
