I'm confused - all the pitches around the lake are ehu. The overflow field has non ehu - the website is very clear on that? We've stayed many times and never experienced any dog poo smells or problems - we've always found people using the site and the area to be very clean picking up after dogs etc- I'm sure there will always be one or two that don't but surely not enough to leave such an overwhelming smell. Depending on when you stay, the cows use the back fields - so you will get some countryside smells from them ! The old toilet block was rustic but they were clean and functional and have now been replaced. Did you not see the other toilet block at the front of the site, only you didn't mention that one at all? We have never had a negative experience or atmosphere and judging by it's popularity and difficulty to get in at times, many many others haven't either. I'm sorry you didn't enjoy your stay.

Hello and thanks for the comment, really appreciate it and you’re so right about getting used to it. We’ve done quite a number of wild camps now since that initial one and each one just gets better. Choosing to stay in more rural and quiet locations rather than near big towns and cities Seems to suit us best, quiet coastal regions are good too. Glad you enjoyed the video, all the best, Z.

Wow, what a fabulous comment! Thank you so very much. However, I might not pass it on to the Pickle as she is already too much of a little princess 👸 and makes so many demands from us including gravy bones, boiled egg, tuna mayonnaise and worst of all, we have to lift her into bed! So glad you’re enjoying the videos. I’m glad to have you on board with our adventures. Wishing you all the best, Zoe, XX.

Thank you so much, it’s lovely to hear from people like yourself who enjoy our videos. It’s amazing how busy full-time Van life is in comparison to living in a house, there’s always something needs doing! Again, thanks for following along and we really appreciate it, Z, XX.

Lovely to see you settling in so well now you're full time. I find we need to jack our oven up to the highest setting and it takes ages, but it was a good workaround with your grill. We found the longer we were full time the easier it became to feel comfortable parking up. Great vlog both, and awesome camera work as always ❤️💕

Hello Julia and Gary, so lovely to hear from you and we have been following along with your New Life In Spain! We are so pleased to have gone full time, it was the right thing to do for us and we’re looking forward to lots of adventures in the future. You both seem very happy in your new location and I hope all goes well for you too. Take care out there, you’re not missing anything in the UK as it’s still the usual summer weather, cold, wet and windy. Cheers, Z.

I had a similar problem with my last van with air blocks in the water tank when filling. I found leaving the taps open (with the water pump off 😊) helped so that could be worth a try.

Hi chaps, great to hear from you! So pleased to have gone full-time, really is the best thing we could’ve done. However, where sure you won’t be far behind! Really enjoy watching your van conversion and all the work you’re putting into making a new home on wheels. Take care and speak soon, Z, XX

Best of luck on your adventures from CMKvanlife. We are hoping to take the leap to full time living in the van in the spring, we need to upgrade a few bits on Reg the elderly motorhome before we do (batteries and electrics mostly). :)
@BonjourMotorhomeАй бұрын
Hello and thanks for watching, we really appreciate it. We are so pleased to have gone full-time, it’s definitely the best decision we’ve made for a very long time. We have some more videos coming out in the very near future about upgrading our leisure batteries and how best to get the most from them with hooking them up to your solar panel and a smart Plus, and everybody needs to think about this one, what is the best option for a toilet, in your van! Wishing you all the best on your adventures, keep us up-to-date please.

Tip for fridge, if you have room in freezer compartment keep some slim ice packs for storing round fridge if it goes off or struggles. Also on sunny days keep fridge side in shade. Sorry you had a traumatic start but could be serendipity and will work out better in end. I really enjoy your videos, so genuine. Thank you.
@BonjourMotorhomeАй бұрын
That’s great advice, we have now invested in some of those ice blocks that we keep in the freezer and are using it to help keep it cool when on gas. And 12 V while driving along it cools down so much we have to actually reduce how much power is going into it. Really appreciate the comment and thanks very much for watching, you’re a superstar!

Hi and thanks for watching! This was our first night away in the motorhome having decided to go full time and we found the Smugglers Inn at Blue Anchor to be a great pub stopover. Have you been here and if so, what did you think of it? Are you going back or just going to sail on by? Love to hear your thoughts and suggestions, so please let us know. Horses for courses. We have a 7.5 metre motorhome which we live in full time. Big enough not to fill cramped small enough to take on all of the single track roads in the Highlands- including Applecross Pass

Hello and thanks for the comment, we really appreciate it. You have hit the nail on the head, everybody has their own preference to what they want to do and for us like yourselves, motorhomes are just perfect. We like the fact we can just park up And be settled in a few minutes and equally get away really quick to. Caravans definitely seem to be for those who enjoy staying in an area for more than a couple of days and campervans offer lots of freedom but with perhaps less space inside. Happy travels and thanks for watching.
@BenRobinson19742 ай бұрын
Caravan and camper is the best option. Preferably a small camper that can tow your caravan. Really the best of all options. Unless you have buckets of money, then just get a fancy moho.
@BonjourMotorhome2 ай бұрын
Thanks for commenting 😄 That’s a really good point - I’ve seen people pulling a caravan with a camper and you must have a lot of flexibility with that set up ☺️👍🏻

The Caravan Club Started In 1907 With Just 11 Members! As The Years went on Membership Grew Rapidly, We Joined In 1989 , Still Mainly Caravans, We Still Enjoy It After All These Years But Now Its Called Caravan and motor home club, It Looks Like We Caravanners Are Outnumbered By Motorhomes!! That's Fine But We Prefer Our Caravan For All The Usual Odvious Reasons..😁👍

Hello and thank you for such a wonderful comment! Each type of recreational vehicle definitely has positives and benefits over the other and when we made this video, we learned things about caravans that we never knew some of which are definitely better than motorhomes. However, it does go to show that no matter what your choice of vehicle is we are all just out there enjoying van life. Have great travels and thanks for watching.

I’m sure most of you will have heard of Motorhome Matt but if not, please check it out as they have some really helpful advice for everybody into the recreational vehicle sector. Thanks for watching and catch you in the next blog!

So, there you have it! The installation of a jewel lens reversing and rearview camera to our motorhome. What do you think? Is this something you would or will do to your campervan or motorhome? Thanks for watching, all the best, Zoe, Malish and Keeva the dancing Pickle. bonjour Motorhome.

Hello and thanks for watching! So, what do you think? Is an eCamper like the ones in this video the future or two limiting for your type of Van life? Would really like to know what your thoughts are on this subject and of course, what about the show? Is this something you would like to go to, have you been to one and if so what did you think, would you go again? All the best, Zoe, Malish and Keeva the Pickle.

Would the fly net keep out the Scottish midge
@BonjourMotorhome4 ай бұрын
Hello, Not quite sure as the holes in the mesh is about 1 mm² and as we all know, the Scottish midges are tenacious! Perhaps an additional net curtain would help prevent the vast majority entering your living space. Thanks for the comment and hope you enjoyed the video. Cheers, Zoe and Malish.
