WHY STAYING AT UPHILL TOURING PARK WASN'T A PLEASANT EXPERIENCE. THE GOOD, THE BAD AND THE SMELLY.

Hi, We were on a hard standing pitch which was overlooking the marina and the church an amazing view . We loved uphills proximity to all the dog walking , plus being able to walk to Brean and Brean down and Weston-super-mare and also being near the beach a easy access to bus route and a cafe very near to the site. The amenities were more than adequate.On our visit we found other campers sociable and friendly.

Absolutely brilliant review guys. The poo near your pitch sounds horrible, and how rude that people would assume that it was you who didn't clean up after your dog. You did so well getting up that tower Zoe, the view was amazing and your camera work is fantastic. We absolutely love th little motorhome animation that goes across the screen reminding people to subscribe ❤ Fabulous campsite review, thank you both 💕

I live near to this location and walk my dog regularly around the lake and down the path. I have never seen any drones flying around and I have never smelt dog poo. It’s one of the nicest areas in Weston. It’s sounds like you were unlucky when you stayed. Great video though

I'm confused - all the pitches around the lake are ehu. The overflow field has non ehu - the website is very clear on that? We've stayed many times and never experienced any dog poo smells or problems - we've always found people using the site and the area to be very clean picking up after dogs etc- I'm sure there will always be one or two that don't but surely not enough to leave such an overwhelming smell. Depending on when you stay, the cows use the back fields - so you will get some countryside smells from them ! The old toilet block was rustic but they were clean and functional and have now been replaced. Did you not see the other toilet block at the front of the site, only you didn't mention that one at all? We have never had a negative experience or atmosphere and judging by it's popularity and difficulty to get in at times, many many others haven't either. I'm sorry you didn't enjoy your stay.

It sounds like you stayed at 'Uphill Field'! I nearly booked this site last week to visit the helicopter museum but I hesitated and I'm glad I did now. It's not unreasonable to expect the facilities to be fully functional and frankly you should have been told that you would be in a field so that you could make an informed decision. Great review.

Hello and thanks for commenting! This was truly an unpleasant experience from start to finish. In our short time of having a motorhome, Uphill Marina and Touring Park is certainly the worst site we have stayed at. Considering the price also, the facilities were so poor and the smell was quite honestly the worst part. There are much better campsites around the area and priced much more sensibly too. I do like the sound of visiting the helicopter museum, have you been yet and if so, have you done a video about it? All the best, Zoe (Plus Malish and Keeva the Pickle).
