Of all people they have Jimmy Carter on here who was a major reason for the state of the country at the time. Until now, the worst president this country has ever had.

A pity that this movie distorted the mythology.Perseus wasn't son of Hercules.I saw it when I was very young.But also modern movies distort history or miths,to make money.

The Sons of Hercules played every Saturday morning when I was a kid. Then my parents would give me $2 to walk 3 blocks to the Putt-Putt. $1 for 6 hours of Putt-Putt and $1 for a drink and fries at the Dairy Queen next door. I was expected to bring home the change. It was a great time to be a kid.

I'm 66 and I remember watching over 100 Peplum aka Swords and Sandels movies in the 1960s at the local theater. Almost every Saturday my parents could get rid of me for Saturday watching 2 Hercules and Hercules knockoff movies and a couple of cartoons for something less than a dollar and another dollar for popcorn and soda at that time!

Truly they were....THE MIGHTY SONS OF HERCULES.....Their deeds are legend....loved it then, love them now!!!!

What is not brought up ..is that AJ Foyt was in 3rd place ahead of Richard Petty and Darrell Waltrip but being used to Indy car rules that freezes the field on a yellow flag.. NASCAR at the time ran back to start finish line .. Foyt lifted and was passed

Thrilling to watch the many beautiful horses filmed so well! I was hooked in to watch this whole movie because of the horses and amazing scenery! And are there even this many horsemen on Earth around anymore, I wonder? So glad to see this -- thank you.

Watching this as Ken Squire passed away at the age of 88, today. A true storyteller, as the documentary mentions. He will truly be missed. RIP ❤

Let me say this from a “Yankee” and black perspective. I knew little of NASCAR as an adolescent. However what got my attention growing up in North Jersey was a late seventies pop culture influence of “Smokie and the Bandit” and “Dukes Of Hazzard”. That was my introduction to southern culture. I then started watching NASCAR and did a book report in 7th grade on Wendell Scott. Very important time in American culture in my opinion…

This was about 3 weeks before I left for Air Force basic training and I was there. I ended up in middle Georgia but dang I still miss The Ditch. I’ve recently had the pleasure of being stationed near Eldora and my boys got to meet Sammy. They also got to meet Terry and Morgan at Woodstock. They never got to see legends like Allen Van Landingham, Eddie Ray Alexander, Hooker, Greg Hodnett, shorty chambliss, Mike Ward, etc.
