The contestants themselves of course do not choose their national costume. They are designed usually by someone in their country. I agree with you about the camera work. There was a lack of excitement, considering some of the great pageants of the past. I chose the winner from the start. For me she was stunning. I was not that impressed with the Philippines representative. There is room for improvement. My top 5 would have been Denmark, Russia, Peru, Finland, and Dominican Republic.

There was no explanation as to why a few delegates were selected to travel to Guadalajara and a few others selected to travel to Merida. Several delegates, upon arriving to Mexico city expressed excitement about exploring Mexico and it's culture. What they should have expressed was excitement over experiencing little more than the lobby of the hotel they were staying at.

All Miss Universe from Africa are all from SADC religion. They are from South Africa 3 times, Angola 1, Botswana 1, and Namibia 1. There have never been M+U from West Africa or any other part of Africa. This is a fact. But now, for the first time, West Africa has a girl from the SADC religion, Vanessa Chidimma Adetshina🇿🇦, she is beautiful. At least there is hope for them.
