The SA authorities instead changed tactics and requested for Chidimma's family to show up for id verification when Chidimma was preparing to represent her father's land in Mexico. This way, the SA authorities can escape the fact that they lied about the id theft.

Experiences in life in most cases gives us our purpose in life. There are things in life I have gone through that have shaped me and given me a sense of purpose. I tell myself that God just knew I had to go through them to find purpose. I was bullied and picked on in school with harsh awful words that made me had low self esteem. I'm still healing but through this experiences I have found a higher calling and I'm using my platform to reach to many a young people going through same or worse. For her the SA saga was her defining moments and the key to a higher calling. Whether she wins or not, God has given her a platform to reach out to people who self-hate, to victims of bullies, people who have faced one form of rejection or the other. My prayers is that she looks beyond winning the pageantry and realize that if she build on this foundation, she'll make a powerful voice especially in Africa.

This woman wasn't born in SA, nor were any of her parents. There are no records of her birth in any hospital in South Africa... This idea of "xenophobic criticism" is also laughable. She is criticised for her parent's criminal actions and her deciding to flee SA and not answer to or face these claims of fraud committed by her parents. The support she is enjoying in the competition is primarily from Nigerians in the diaspora, who themselves are in foreign lands and identify with her story - even though they don't know the facts nor do they know Chidimma.
