Hey guys, Love watching your videos. They are so informative. Just made my list, but I have a questions about the surge protector. I just Ordered my Escape 17B, and it comes with an Electrical management System with Surge protector. I am assuming I will not need another one, but want to make sure.

Great video. I'm picking ours up soon, but we haven’t decided on the model. I like that twin bed setup, but that means you have to eat while sitting on the bed, right? Also, aren’t there screens on those windows? I can’t see any.
@md.adventuresАй бұрын
That’s exciting. Yes the Indepence model has a great setup but you do end up sitting on the bed to eat, not the most comfortable but was worth it for us to have the better bigger bed. And yes the windows do have screens on them.

Hey there buddy, this is a very nice KOA to be honest and I personally think that it has one of the best, if not the best campground layouts in regards to the privacy, shade and spacing of the sites!! The premium sites are really nice but I’d definitely prefer the basic site as it seems to offer just a tad bit more privacy and spacing- plus I don’t mind using campgrounds bathhouse amenities if I don’t want the hassle of dumping upon departure ! Thanks for sharing this KOA with us Matt and before I forget to mention, really digging the drone footage 🙌🏾🙌🏾🙌🏾🤙🏾🏕️

Stumbled on your page. I am currently researching both the Casita and Escape, and I love that you actually owned both. I was wondering if you have any insight. I Actually love the Escape 19, but I am worried I can not tow it. I have a Pilot AWD. Is that a highlander as your tow vehicle>. I have seen an Escape 17 and 19 and liked the very much.
@md.adventuresАй бұрын
We absolutely love the Escape 19 and have no regrets about going from the Casita to this. It's a higher quality trailer, and with the Escape 19 you have a seperate bed and table, which we really like. The only advantage to the Casita Independence was the two seperate beds making it easy to get in and out at night without having the climb over your partner. You should have no issue towing with your Pilot. We pull with a 4Runner.
@paulenwiaАй бұрын
@@md.adventures So is the towing capacity of your 4runner 5K? That is what my pilot is rated. We are looking into getting a 2024 or 25 Escape 17 or 19 or the Casita Spirt Deluxe. Both companies have some great deals atm, but Casita is about 8k cheaper with about the same options as the Escape 17. I have been researching for about a month now. I love your channel btw. Some great pointers.
@md.adventuresАй бұрын
@@paulenwia Yep, towing capacity of our 4Runner is 5,000lbs. We've put on a lot of miles and no issues. We do use a weight distribution hitch. The Casita is still a great trailer, especially for 8K less, but if you are looking for something long term and can spare the extra money I'd go for the Escape.

Why is there a difference between the front and rear balancer (one, as you point out has an indentation and the other is totally flat)? And, does it matter which goes on the front, and which on the rear? Thank you.
@md.adventures2 ай бұрын
It’s doesn’t matter which one goes on the front and which goes on the back. There is a difference because this same model is used for jeeps which require that indent for the front, but for an escape travel trailer it doesn’t matter

I'm picking up an Escape 21C that's equipped with one of these units, so thank you for the 'introduction'. At the video's end, when backing into your storage space, there were no guidance marks showing on the Haloview screen. Intentional choice? A rationale for eliminating them? I was curious why that was the case.

Ya I made a choice to turn off the guidelines lines, for our use they were simply adding clutter to the screen, but it’s very easy to turn on and off. Good luck with your Escape, you’ll love it! My in laws have the Escape 21C
