Hello Victor! Oh I do not agree - Sopranos are great. I have worked with tenor instruments since 10 years it became part of my sound and it also has a few extra keys than the standard 2 octave soprano-gurdies. I personally appreciate instruments with a measure that allows a low C-string as well as strings tuned higher. It is a matter of taste and with different strings/set-ups you have different possibilities. But yes, the last 10 years alto/tenor hurdy-gurdies have developed a lot and made an impact on the hurdy-gurdy scene. With that said, sopranos are still great instruments and some times more suitable, it depends on the music, the style and the player of course. All the best! /Johanns

@@JohannesGeworkianHellman thanks for the reply my concern is that these new players are buying expensive 💰alto and tenors bcos it's trendy andthey just want to show off and most of them are not good players to justify having these 10,000 gurdys in face I spoke to one of these new players that he should start with a soprano and make his own music instead of copying others and he got very angry even tho he is not a good player,, I guess it's just ego. Anyway I think sopranos are becoming extinct because everyone wants the super expensive tenots that cost more than a car, music should be for everyone not some elite club for rich kids with there parents money 😡😠
