Don't tilt your jars when removing them from the canner. You run the wrisk of seal failing. Very Good Canner the All merican.

My model 80E Marlin is sitting on my kitchen table right now. It was my first rifle as a kid and I've not fired it in maybe 50 yrs. Found it in the back of my safe. I intend to fix a bent front sight and shoot it. Probably not a good idea to dry fire it since your firing pin will be hitting steel w/o a round in the chamber and it may break your firing pin. Have fun!

How many minutes did it take for your weights to jiggle? I had full stream of steam coming out of vent for 10 minutes but it wouldn't jiggle for good 12 minutes (even though I saw the dial gage building pressure up to 10) . I just turned off the stove because I was afraid it might explode.

Crap I ordered the semi auto one after I accidentally bought the M16 one. Fuck I messed up huh.
@Prepper556
@Prepper556 2 жыл бұрын
No, they will both work fine. The M16 version is heavier to accommodate the full auto it can do, but it's heavier mass will slow down the cyclic rate on a semi making recoil feel less and in my opinion give more accuracy because tge rifle isn't bouncing all over the place.

Hello Mr. Prepper556, I'm looking to get into Prepping. What do you recommend to get started, the 916 or the 921? Much obliged.
@Prepper556
@Prepper556 2 жыл бұрын
Sorry for the late reply. You can go with either one. It all comes down to how much you want to process at a time. If you have a big garden, go with the 921 as it will be able to process larger loads at a time. Hope this helps!

These are fun. Mine was not marked marlin but is the same rifle essentially (western auto 105). Only problem is the mag on mine doesn't always feed right. But single loading it is fun to shoot, almost as fun as my Remington 514.

If you leave the knife tip touching the surface of the cutting board, and slide the carrot along under it as you chop down there will be much less noise. This is the best Canning video I have seen so far. Thank you so much.

Ok….I’m feeling pretty good here….I did everything you did except I put my pint jars filled with half water in my warm canner and just emptied as I went in for a jar to fill. I filled my jars with hot water and a cup of orange juice, minus the salt. Wow….I’m feeling really good! I did 6 pints yesterday with one fail….the lid was fine so don’t know what happened to that guy? But happy I got 5 successes! I’ll reprocess that one in time, or just eat them for dinner one night. Thank you for your tutorial. It’s very clear for a new canner like me…..❤️👍😄

Since your carrots are room temperature, instead of heating water, heating jars and canner, can’t you just cold pack with room temp water? Would save lots of work.

I just inboxed mine a few minutes ago, several years after this video, but although I’m a newbie, I would assume that it may take a shorter time, along with the popping, for pint jars to seal, because they may not be able to maintain heat, as much as the quart jars, due to their size.
