From your first stack, "A Touch of Blue" - Jonah Jones Quartet, "The Song is You" - David Rose & Orchestra, Ventures - "Telstar & The Lonely Bull" and also "The Sunshine Company" from a later stack; Would be interested in a price for all four, or at least the first three. Thanks.

Any day you can find The Who at 50% off is a good day. I can't believe somebody had a Gordon Bok album. I was impressed by his lyrics and voice back in the 1970s. I feel your pain about that last store. Some of these new artists from 2010s/2020s ought to be ashamed of themselves. And I've met at least one audiophile who's said that the remasters of the classic albums aren't worth the prices. So many people want to take advantage of the vinyl renascence.
@mountainmanpicker19 сағат бұрын
Yes, I completely agree with you on all points in your comment. It’s harder to find good prices on classic rock and grunge albums of the 1990’s-2000’s+ and the vintage rock albums are getting harder to find around the $5 or less price range. I’m going to keep picking for em though, I know they are out there! 👍🏼 thanks!

@DorianPaige003 күн бұрын
Lots of $1-5 records with split seems with some artists being "hard sells". If they are mint, some of it will sell but about half won't sell in most dollar bins even if left there for a couple years.

Thanks for the tips, I've already sold a few of the good LPs, the rest are now in my store or at Goodwill. Thanks for checking out the video, more coming soon!

Hi, I watch your movies, I sympathize when you choose certain records, but I'm surprised that you haven't made a simple camera bracket to wear on your head. Flipping through records in a box is much more skillful with two hands!
@mountainmanpicker3 күн бұрын
Thanks, I've tried the GoPro headset, I don't like it because I can't see what I'm filming and it's awkward. But, I sometimes use my GoPro "Chesty" that straps on to my back and faces the LPs at chest level. I'll try that again in a video soon. Thanks for the suggestion!

Well, I darn near had a heart attack reading that title. I'm glad to hear you're not disappearing from the vinyl world. I'd keep Armstrong/Oliver/Smith. How ironic, I picked up "This Is the Moody Blues" and the JFK spoken word album.

I have a Beatles Yesterday and today but it’s got a weird mark on the cover like they pasted a new cover on it and the old one is showing through. So, because of that defect I can’t let it go for like 10 bucks
@PeterMarlow-u2i5 күн бұрын
It has to be said you have some right turkeys there, tatty too. From somebody that's spent nearly 50 years sifting through books, records, CDs etc - 90% of those albums are dogs even now - even at the height of the "vinyl is cool" schtick. I can think of many desirable LPs which would be pretty damn difficult to find in the UK, but easier in the US. Latin music, some world music, old timey music, ethnic esoterica etc - but I didn't spot anything like that as you flicked through. No offence intended.
@rodshard86055 күн бұрын
Looks like a lot of those will be heading back to the Goodwill. Most are similar to the stuff you find in UK charity shops. And leave there ! Noticed no 60's or 70's soul at all which is easily sellable in nice condition. I guess MMP isn't that knowledgeable in that area. Only item that looked interesting for collectors was the Them album but it would have to be at least VG+ and preferably above that.

Funny thing, I used to live in an apartment and got rid of all my LPs (back in the 90s) to save space. Now that I have more room, I have to get rid of hundreds of LPs! So, I totally understand, just make sure you keep the ones you like to listen too!

@@mountainmanpicker and what's also crazy is that i was literally just telling my wife about Jonny Destry the day before seeing your video. I have no idea why that conversation with her came up but i was telling her how if my memory serves me correctly, my Mom had told me that Jonny Destry was kind of big in the Netherlands (i think) before he got some traction in the USA (he had a billboard and everything haha). Anyway, so you can understand why i nearly spit my drink out when I saw your video 🤣. This video inspired me to jump out to ebay and pick up an "excellent condition" copy of his vinyl album ($7) .
