That 50% off Grand Funk Railroad (collected) would have definitely gone home with me.... 😉

Great album! I did think of taking that, but I’ve got all the Grand Funk records in my personal collection. Such a great band 👍🏼🎸

Thanks for the kind words about the video, I appreciate your input. I would have to say that the prices at this record store were much better than some of the other stores in this part of the Mountains (that I've been to) and the Vinyl is super clean and VG or better quality for what I inspected and purchased. So... I'll be going back for another visit. Keep on pickin!

Cool shop. My local record store has 50c-1.00 scratch and dent which I use for cover or vinyl upgrades, but you have to get on the floor. Would be nice if they had a kids school chair to sit on so my knees don't go bad. Reason I mention is I have 2 vintage metal/wood school chairs I use as step stools to reach my turn table/records Super durable and very cheap used.

Great idea (school chairs)! I’m often having to get on my knees to dig through the sale bins. At this particular shop, the records on the floor had not been priced and were not yet for sale or for picking .. 😬 I had to pass them by. Some good ones too!… Zep, Floyd, etc..

I see that your channel has become popular enough that Chick-Fil-A and others are muscling in with ads. Oh, well, that happens, and I can always say I was present somewhere near the creation, when they left your channel clean. Anyway, on to the main course. I never dreamed I'd see a day when the old-time "record shop" would return in a new incarnation. Your background music accents this. I'm from back in the day of Sam Goody, Crazy Eddie, Hastings, Sound Warehouse and other long-vanished enterprises. And I remember when $3.49 for one LP was considered high. I'm glad you picked up The Beatles' Rarities. Few people are familiar with it. I'm impressed at your acquisition of Bonzo Dog Band as well. I remember seeing Rory Gallagher in concert backing up Rod Stewart. Aja at $12.99? Great call!

I think that you and I share similar musical appreciations for sure. Thanks for noticing the growth of the channel too and thank you for being a supporter from the beginning, my friend. I do appreciate the tips, helpful comments, etc.. it helps the rest of us in this growing vinyl community as we hunt for the vintage treasures still out in the wild. I titled this video the way I did, because I was very very impressed with the quality and quantity of LPs at this shop, not to mention that the owner is very passionate about the music. Hard to find that around anymore. Thanks!

I have been an Eric Burdon fan since I was 12, that's some pretty expensive Eric Burdon. The "Eric is here" album is terrible. Run don't walk.

@@mountainmanpicker no problem, been enjoying the vids. I didn't see the price on that Manics tho so if it was priced super ez I'd maybe passed. They are huge in the UK.

Why not talk? What is wrong with just talking? That would spare us the crappy atmospheric music.
@mountainmanpicker
@mountainmanpicker 7 күн бұрын
That’s a great question. Not sure I can just continue to talk for 30 minutes with overdubbing. Might work best to mute your volume if you don’t like the music? Due to copyright issues, I have to mute the background music. Thanks for the suggestions 👍🏼
