This conversation is SO FORCED, SO CONFUSING and SO DANGEROUS. When will we see through Manis Friedman's distortions? He is clearly making things up as he's going along. PROVE WHAT YOU'RE SAYING WITH LEGITIMATE JEWISH SOURCES!!!! This is absolute SHEKER! (falsehood) As Rav Aharon Feldman says : "He's an Am Haaratez" (an ignoramus). We need to wake up. He's misleading the naive public.

Two people who mean well but have no idea what they are talking about. Lear רמב״ם פרק חלק learn רמב״ם מ״נ lear רס״ג אמונות ודעות. Manis Friedman is correct that we need to learn השקפה but his idea of השקפה is חב״ד and what he calls חסידות and not what I listed above together with Kuzari and all the classic Geonim and Rishonim. They dabble in things that they don’t under or have any concept in. אין לי עסק בנסתרים and that’s the way it should remain. He says the Yeshiva world got it from the Christians? That is exactly where he got his ideas from see שו״ת ריב״ש ס׳ קנ״ז

This is R' Botton -- I have spoken to lots of rabbis Chabad Litvish Sefardic rabbis that poskim Halacha and that could easily sit on a Beit Din - this is my conclusion based on all of the above: 1) His isn't an Am HaAretz. 2) Most of the clips created and promoted by those 2 rabbis have nothing to do with heresy. 3) The only issue is with the statement of reward & punishment - and this video clearly explains that R' Friedman believes in reward & punishment. His view is that the suffering that a person goes through for sin in today's generation is a rectification (sin causes suffering in gehinum (hell) etc.) But it isn't a punishment because people aren't rebelling willfully so they don't deserve punishment, but they do need to rectify the damage they caused to their soul and the world because of their sins. 4) Although the above isn't not exactly my view on this topic as I stated repeatedly in the video - Based on R' Friedman's statements in the video there is NO LONGER an issue with R' Friedman - he isn't a heretic, his statements are no longer heretical, he is calling what others call punishment rectification - now it is clear everyone agrees - they are just giving it two different terms. All the best

Sorry but I wasn't raised frum and I understand what that this Rabbi is trying to explain in his talks. It's amazing to me that people who consider to be Torah scholars can't understand it. Explaining the difference between punishment versus cause and effect and similar concepts with very helpful to my spiritual walk, and others that I have met who have listened to Rabbi Friedman, because they learned to approach Torah observance for the approach of doing it out of love, and then understood that the obligation part comes in in terms of responsibility to themselves and their greater society. If you love HaShem & other people on a mature level, you understand that responsibility and self-discipline are part of expressing that love. I think the issue this Rabbi is having is more reflective of a problem within the frum world, rather than an issue with the message that Rabbi Friedman is getting across. No one who listens to Rabbi Friedman seriously, apart from a few internet trolls that make a lot of noise in the comments, other than that no one listens to him and thinks that HaShem says we can do what we want without consequence. I'm sure that the person doing the interviewing is simply trying to play devil's advocate in order to give the Rav a chance to explain himself, but regardless of whose behalf he is speaking on, I think this is interview is very telling about how much difficulty people in the Orthodox community have in trying to get across the message of Torah to people outside of their own neighborhoods. This is why they're not affecting the change that they want 50 in the world especially where it regards non-orthodox Jews. You don't know what people need to hear, let alone how to explain it to them. Rabbi Friedman has figured it out and he's getting it across very well but you don't understand because you're not the type of person who needs to hear what he's saying. I say that in all respect.

I think any older person who seeks to look at life from a different prospective that he has always been taught will have a problem with this. Aspecialy those who have had a relationship with God their whole life based on what they thaught was the right way, it can feel wrong and anti Torah to change the way you look at God. For someone younger or less religious it is easier to recieve such a message because obviously they have not resonated so deeply with a different way of looking at it

IF GOD CREATED US IN HIS OWN IMAGE, ALL THE WRETCHED CHARACTERISTICS IN MAN CAME FROM GOD. GOD MUST HAVE ALOT OF HORRIBLE STUF INSIDE FROM WHICH MAN IS A CARBON COPY. IT WOULD HAVE BEEN BETTER TO NEVER GET INVOLVED IN THIS HORRIBLE PROCESS. ESPECIALLY IN TODAY´S POLITICAL AND WARRING HORRORS. AND THE CHOSEN JEWS ARE AS TREACHEROUS AS ANYONE.

A non Jew, i realized that my behavior was manipulated by "idol" worship until I listened to Rabbi Manis Friedman Teaching. I was driven to serve G-d either in fear of escaping "hell" or a desire to go to "heaven". My perception got in the way to seeing G-d clearly. Thank G-d there is profound clarity in the Rabbi's Teaching. If one knows G-d the way HE wants to be known, it will certainly cause that individual to serve G-d better regardless of where in the World.

God cares because this is Gods creation and plan of progression. ALL is Gods divine design. This question has a two fold answer. With a resounding YES, definitely, undeniably we need God. “Thy will be done” those submissive words spoken, God your will in my life let it be done. God is omnipotent, omniscient and omnipresent. Who else would we go to other than the creator of all for anything? If God is Love in which I know him to be, The all knowing, all powerful God of all creation who is also referred to as Love, I choose with my free will to seek him in all my affairs of this earth life. When I have been faithful to this pattern I undoubtedly succeed in all that I do. We are also Gods hands in this life. For when we are in the service of our fellowmen we are in the service of our God. So when it is said that God needs us, it is my belief that he wants us to utilize our free will he so graciously gave each of us in choosing to be obedient to his command much like a parent and child relationship. God will not interrupt our free will, he does not turn from his word or promises or he would seize to be God. He is a loving God that knows us individually and wants us to know him. He wants us to reach our highest divine potential, to expand and grow and live in a consciousness of exaltation. We are his hands as we serve our fellowmen through love. It is time for a paradigm shift to this question I’ve heard discussed many times in my life.

Well done! surround yourself with people who REALLY want the same goal as you, hear only things that inspire the good in you, only things that strengthen the good in you, only things that give you hope that you will succeed despite the difficulties. It is difficult to banish the darkness, but a small candle and another small candle will make the darkness retreat and finally disappear completely as if it were not there.

The answer to these questions are only in our Torah sources. only what the true prophets told us in the name of God is the truth. two people exchanging philosophy doesn’t equal the truth of God. I don’t hear too much mention here of prophecies that the Torah says are true in the name of God himself, this should not be about personal opinions, a discussion like this should be based on Torah facts and there would be a lot more clarity in this conversation.

the metaphor of God as the husband and Israel (the Jewish people) as the wife is a recurring theme in Jewish biblical and classic texts. Here are a few examples: 1. _Hosea_ (2:19-20): The prophet Hosea uses the marriage metaphor to describe God's relationship with Israel, emphasizing covenant loyalty and faithfulness. 2. _Isaiah_ (54:5-8): Isaiah describes God as the husband of Israel, promising to betroth her forever in righteousness and faithfulness. 3. _Jeremiah_ (2:2, 3:14): Jeremiah uses the marriage metaphor to convey God's love and Israel's infidelity, calling for return and restoration. 4. _Ezekiel_ (16:1-63): Ezekiel's extended allegory portrays God as the husband who marries and nurtures Jerusalem (representing Israel), but ultimately punishes her for her infidelity. 5. _Song of Songs_ (interpreted allegorically): This book is often seen as an allegory for the love between God and Israel, with God as the beloved and Israel as the lover. In classic texts: 1. _Talmud_ (Berachot 32a): The Talmud interprets the Shema (Deuteronomy 6:5) as a declaration of love between God and Israel, like a husband and wife. 2. _Midrash_ (e.g., Genesis Rabbah 70:15): Midrashic interpretations often employ the marriage metaphor to explain the relationship between God and Israel.

Hes right God doesnt need Fillen, just our heart and obedience and Love. I think your both missing the point of Purpose, which is the wrong word chaps, he made the world with a purpose, but its His plan for us all thats important. He wants to have a relationship with us, but at present thats hard for him being holy. So he needs to get rid of Evil so we can all get married to Him AND Emmanuel!! Thats His Plan.

Raised Christian here so maybe I’m misunderstanding your point but I don’t think so. If the purpose of this is the “ride” then please stop the planet , I want to get off immediately. I don’t need this. I didn’t need to be created. Up until two years ago I hated it here so much I fully intended to ask the creator to uncreate me when we met! Going on the ride isn’t good enough! If it’s just self service and self growth you can have it! It can’t be that because I exist and that is an unacceptable answer to someone that has had my “ride”. That would make G-d a monster that put us through this just so we could experience it together. Thanks but no thanks! That wouldn’t be a good G-d.

Feelings have nothing to do with truth. So that friendly relations do not become a burden, let everyone preserve his freedom. Better to suffer injustice than to do it. At night, bathed in light, Istanbul shone brighter than the eyes of a young bride. You have been warned. We learn about people by heart, not by eye or intellect. And I also knew that I would never again be satisfied with the substitute for relationships that one could rely on in everyday life. Jorge Bucay In order for the sun to continue to shine in the sky, you do not need to believe in it at all! Louise Hay And because no one wanted my spirit, I bought it from God, and now I enjoy Him with all my might in the "Paradise garden" that was in me and not in others. Isn't this world wonderful.......? Oh, and I see the other people in a pink world, the whole world is pink for a period of time…. She (Madame Duvall) seems willing to right the wrongs she has done, but she wants the world to believe she is blameless. The only mistake, almost always, is to think that only from your steeple can be seen the whole truth. Deaf people always think that those who dance are crazy.
