Hei Dude, SFD only growth in Philipines n Indonesia. U cannot find in another part of the world. philipines only has pustulatus. The rest of SFD comes from Sulawesi, Indonesia (Microlopus, Weberi, Amboinensis) make sure u give correct information before posting video.

I just watched a video of Ackies in the wild , and the ambient temperature in their natural environment is in the teens during the day. Their burrows have very high humidity, not outside air. wonder if the tail problems come from running too high humidity.

Does anyone know until what age? I have a sulcata who is about 10 inches long. Does the humidity need to be high as they age

Ideally until adulthood if possible. Sulcatas burrow to reach that Humid/cool microclimate underground. They typically reach their max size around 100-200lbs depending on the locality. If you live in a drier region and you have built them a house outdoors you could setup a misting system to help regulate the ambient humidity.

I took my hatchling tortoise to the vet and they prescribed 3 antibiotic shots. No nose drops. The last shot was 4 days ago and there’s still some nasal discharge when I soak him. Should I ask my vet for the drops?

The baby enclosure is a 4x2x2 from dubia, he’s now in a 5x3x3 from toad ranch and will soon be in a 20x20x20 outdoors

Thank you! And it’s just a prepared diet they go crazy for. They usually eat very tiny crickets and flightless fruit flies.

I use a modified cool mist humidifier with a hose attachment leading to the enclosure. These typically will have a much larger water basin than ones marketed towards reptiles and cost much less to buy.

As long as they are brought inside or have a heated house when it gets below 55 degrees Fahrenheit. If you don’t get a decent amount of humidity I’d definitely have a timed sprinkler system.
