i just installed this custom rom on my redmi note 10 pro and while installing my miui recovery file got rejected i guess but still i loaded the rom. will it cause any trouble to recover later ??

Hello Sir, got the lastest release now of pixel custom rom, what is the prcoedure for updating it, do we need to do flashing and repeat the same steps or is there any other way of updating without formatting the data. Doing a dirty flash is it fine?

It should come with an updater, just go to settings > system > download the update and click install (this applies if you are using a recommended recovery, most probably pixelos recovery)

You won’t get root access just by flashing a custom rom.. if you want the root access, you can do that by flashing magisk right after you flash a custom rom!

Can i install custom roms in my iqoo neo 7? And how, many people say the boot loader isnt unlocked but the oem unlocking option is present in the settings i can turn it on too. Please help if you can

Iqoo does not recommend unlocking the bootloader on their devices.. I am using an iqoo device myself but there’s no method available on how to unlock it and even if you do it, there are no custom roms available because iqoo/vivo/oppo do not provide the source code ..

You need to unlock your bootloader first and only then you can install the rom

Hi, thanks for a great tutorial. I am having a problem I hope you can advise on. I have a Redmi 4x running stock MIUI 11.0.2 (Android 7.1.2). It is unlocked and I am trying to install Pixel Experience 13+. All went OK until I reached the 'fastboot boot recovery.img' step and then I got an error 'FAILED (remote: 'dtb not found')' I googled the error and someone said the version of TWRP might be to new for Android 7. Should I use an earlier version of Pixel Experience instead of 13+ or is that nothing to do with thie error? Since you flashed 13+ version of pixel experience, it’s a retrofit version and the instructions are different. You need to use the recovery that’s mentioned on the website. Right now I am looking at 12 August 2023 version of pixel experience (13+) on the official website and if you look at the change-log, they have provided a link to the recovery and the updated instructions. You would need to follow those instructions..

Hey bro.. I have seen many users reported this issue but I think it is because of the recent update. You can downgrade to the previous build or wait for the next update, and that should resolve the issue..

You should be able to disable it but it can cause stability issues and you might need to use an alternate App Store to update apps..the reason I did not include it in the list is because it might not be safe to disable or delete it.. this is the package name for playstore com.android.vending

It really depends on the device you are using and it’s not really required to flash miui firmware.. but generally speaking, if you are on the older version of pixelos, you can directly flash the new version
