The short answer is yes. Their fees are difficult to understand and calculate, because the apply a fee the postage and packaging costs. So you have to inflate these costs, to cover the overhead. Then there is all the time involved in packing and posting products etc. You would be better off at a car boot sale. I noticed you don't list postage and packaging costs?

A good video would be all things posting: 1) Estimating & calculating postage costs (weighing, sizing etc) 2) Who to use 3) Who not to use 4) Insurance 5) Cost versus risk benefits 6) Material costs of packaging and sourcing 6) Delivery paranoia 7) labelling (and costs; printing, labels etc) Lol. I don't plan on being a reseller but have a load of stuff (non-clothes) to sell just to clear the house out. Regards, Ian

A promoted listing is still 1 listing. By promoting it ithe listing is advertised outside of ebay meaning it can be found via a google search or similar. So if your listing sold by someone finding your item from a google search you will pay the promoted listing fee, if it sold by someome just finding it on the ebay platform then no fee is charged. Does that make sense? Also iam having the same poor sales, iam also running the same 20% sale and also accepting reasonable offers to try and get things moving. I honestly feel ebay are capping my sales. Nearly every day ill have a run of sales up to around £70-£80 then they just die. This is happening all the time. It feels like they just wont let me have a really good day and are preventing it.

Promoted listings… if you promote them, eBay will show it to more people. If they click on your item because eBay had deliberately showed it to them, then you pay the promoted fee. Eg you search Womens jeans size 14 and eBay puts your listing near the top and they click If they find it by themselves eg they were browsing your store or they searched in a more specific way eg they searched robell Bella 09 black size 12 and found your listing, or they filtered the search by price or distance from their home, and they click on your listing, then this is an organic sale, and you don’t pay promoted fees

My daughter is a slave to fast fashion that she wears a couple of times then forgets about (so not-eco-friendly but I love her). Then, after a few months she phones me up and says she's having a clear out and do I want some clothes to sell. Thing is, a lot of what she gives me is Primark, New Look, Misunderstood, Pretty Little Things and such like but they're usually in as-new condition. I don't make huge amounts of profits from them but with eBay's no fees on clothing and the fact that they cost me nothing I don't mind. I never promote anything.

I love sold videos too. My sales for August were the worst month ever but seem to have picked up since the bank holiday weekend thankfully

Good video and it’s so refreshing to see someone giving a more realistic overview of selling and how difficult it can sometimes be. I watch so many resellers on here and you only ever hear “easy profit” or “instant sale” and rarely ever tell you how long some things actually sit around for.

Having that extra scan from the optician is exactly what caught IIH for me as well. She immediately sent me to the Opthamologist for further evaluation because of the swelling. And thus started by endless path to recovery with this terrible condition. I'm currently in the process of planning for a VP shunt placement and have been trying to find information and other people who have lived with this condition. There is so little information available about this condition so I really appreciate your openness and sharing your experience with IIH. It has been very enlightening to me.
