So sad what happened to him. I wish he had just hung on to it.

Music from heaven in blissful harmony. They were such talented people. I love Cass Elliot's feisty attitude. Thankful to have had their music in my life. God bless them both.

As teenager back in the early 70's and rest of that decade he brought me out shyness and move on live like a normal person would do. Love his songs

It’s wild reading these comments about lying alone listening to JDs music as a teen. I’m 60 now and back then his music not only soothed me but it got down into my veins and to this day the same feeling rises up in me whenever I listen to him sing. It’s the most spiritual music I have ever experienced and has never left me. I think he was an angel incarnated into a human body just for our generation. I can hardly see an eagle and not think of John Denver. ….talk to God and listen to the casual reply!

He definitely said, "I've known my ladies pleasures, had myself some sex," It's so inappropriate and also perfectly appropriate for a Muppet movie

Pre-covid, there was a gentleman who used to sing this at one of the local farmers' markets. He invited folks to sing along, so i did. . . . it became a habit, and one day he asked if I could stay around for a bit, because a friend who was the head of the local country music association was coming around, and he wanted her to hear me. But my ride didn't want to linger, so I had to go. One of those "what if"s of life.
