So on mine, they didn’t completely destroy the ignition, but it is in two pieces, they just removed the outer key hole where the key goes, so I just popped it back in and with the key it does work, but is it still damaged? Doesn’t it have to be secured in there?, It’s not really loose, but I’m sure it doesn’t just pop out by pulling it or is it designed that way? If I do buy an ignition set that looks like it comes with programmed keys, is this going to work for the door locks and the trunk and the alarm? How do you program new keys that come with these sets?

Would this work for an ecm programming aa well?

What if u have just a regular key no fob when purchased

To get ignition alone out you have to press a pin on the bottom with a pointy object (I used a ballpoint pin). The trick is, you have to turn the ignition into accessory mode before you press the pin. Pull pretty hard and it came out without having to take the whole thing off the steering wheel! My daughter’s car got stolen, but the ignition would still turn.

Bro please help, I’ve changed out the ignition cylinder and the ignition switch, I bought them both separately and put them together, the car turns on but when I turn off the car the key won’t come out please helpppp, oh yea and when I plug in my old cylinder, it reads that the keys are in the ignition .

My question is did the alarm start going off as soon as you plugged into the OBD? Or no alarm at all during?
