@@darkseidkidd2518 yes your car can’t be stolen that way , unfortunately they don’t know that . So you still end up with broken glass and ignition to fix Just sell that car not worth keep going through this

If it needs more than a battery like you need a new key (Paul's ACE Hardware at least in Scottsdale, AZ makes a regular non-fob for $89.99 and a fob $180) (Arties ACE Hardware is $99.99 for a non-fob and $273.99 for fob. compared to the local Mitsubishi dealership that was going to charge me a little over $500 for a fob and $395 for a non-fob. Just saying ACE in at least Scottsdale has been doing this for 25 years. A discount tire guy at Frank Lloyd Wright told me about it and now I have my new key!!!

So initialize means flash the chip ? And then you start over programming keys? No master key needed?

@@boydlittou9446 once it’s initialized that means all keys are deleted from the system. Now you can take your key and turn it on and off 5 times in the ignition and that’s it

Sucks when the tail piece does not come out as well. Then you need the shimmy thing. Love the Acu Reader tools they have been a blessing for sure.

@@ericarteaga-ferreira2103 make sure the shifter in fully on park , if the problem still there disconnects your car battery, if the key comes out then you need new ignition housing. Or can call me I have a fix for it

Whats the part number / name for the ignition light ring thingy ? 3:27 On my car I Noticed the bulb(s) must have went out so ignition switch is dark at night. Id appreciate it so much. Been scouring the net just for this part for my 2017 kia soul plus. I Dont need the cylinder.

So you guy's know theres 2 versions of the ecu pre 2001 and after 2001, the one with a long gray plug is pre and the all white plugs is after, since 2001 was the transition it has both types

So on mine, they didn’t completely destroy the ignition, but it is in two pieces, they just removed the outer key hole where the key goes, so I just popped it back in and with the key it does work, but is it still damaged? Doesn’t it have to be secured in there?, It’s not really loose, but I’m sure it doesn’t just pop out by pulling it or is it designed that way? If I do buy an ignition set that looks like it comes with programmed keys, is this going to work for the door locks and the trunk and the alarm? How do you program new keys that come with these sets?

@@RC.56 keys don’t get programmed on those cars , remotes do . Need to find a locksmith near you . If you buy a complete set it comes with a new door lock cylinder if not you have to use the old key for the door .
