Reading ISN from 2018 BMW x1 DME using Autel IM 608

Thanks for the video. But can it write the ISN? I tried writing on a mini bosch ecu 2009 and it failed all the attempts.

Did you disconnect vehicle battery before removing module?are these cars ok with doing that?Thanks.

Always recommend to disconnect power before removing it . However I have done it before and didn’t disconnect power . Nothing happened but not recommended

@@PhilyCarsAndKeys It was just i've watched some videos on some BMW,s that don't like being disconnected and reconnected,some modules playing up when reconnecting? Thought maybe it's better to keep the car supplied in some way with power while battery is off? It's probably quite rare though these problems. ;-)
