I was a chef for 10 years, and in the industry for 20 overall. Every place i worked at joked about a bussload of customers showing up without resos, and we called it the asshole bus. It was always fictional until I saw one today, in this episode... an actual busload of assholes showing up without calling ahead. Wow

When I worked at restaurants in a city those were def real but it was always sports fans. During the world cup it wasn't uncommon for a dozen people to just show up without res expecting to be seated

Like, if you want to get an income in a place like New York, I get the feeling anyone would be more worried about their hiring place actually doing better, and I dunno if I could say that the staff didn’t care about the place anymore aswell
