I wonder if i can make a story background for a megamind sequel? Scientist inspired by megamind accidentally sets a madness potion on fire and makes his lab full of madness gas that he inhales thus creates a new villain, the scientist himself because idk any name i should give him, he creates a vehicle that uses insanely powerful blasts of plasma and minion was forced to fight him for 10 minutes using newly returned evil stuff before megamind and roxanne discovers a cure to the madness potion but due to the scientist’s other technology, megamind went through a hard time and accidentally killed the scientist instead of curing him and discontinuing his research because of the scientist’s reckless invasion of metro city, megamind and minion realized how hard it is to defend metro city without casualties Nah, this isn’t better than the movie and tv show as sequels, i actually have no confidence in this story i created

i honestly find their newer music to be annoyingly pretentious. like i dont even know how to explain it properly but it feels to me like erik's trying way too hard to look like this genius songwriter who's way above that juvenile cringy emo pop punk from greatest hits and now only makes music for the REAL adults with REAL deep lyrics about life or whatever. it's like that one guy who's convinced that you HAVE to drop all the fun shit the moment you turn 21 and act like a "real adult" or some dumb shit like that

Glad you made this video, I was wondering if anyone else felt like this…. I can’t get over how a few years ago this band came out, my lil brother showed them to me and I fell in love with Greatest Hits. That album shortly became the soundtrack to 2020 for me. It boggles my mind that they could make a record like GH and just lose the plot entirely. It seemed like after they fired their drummer the band never recovered. I will say, however, that the lyrics to “please please be smart” aren’t actually that bad, they paint a pretty vivid picture of what’s going on in the singer’s head, and you can tell he’s struggling with some pretty serious emotional problems. I recognize it because I’ve been there too, and for him to write those lyrics I know he hates himself and hates the fact that he can’t live up to the standard the set with his band at the outset.

i agree with you majorly here but the idea that Erik will never live up to GH is honestly bs as much as the band has fallen they are still some really talented people, they're just wasting it at this current point though, with portrait they were so close to greatness i absolutely loved the first track but it was essentially just downhill from there especially with "The night i kidnapped remo drive" where its basically just "I'm right you're all wrong" the song

@@BsicalyLuci I agree that they’re insanely talented, but do you think they’ll honestly make another record that matches it in Quality? I’m sure that theyre capable of it, but it doesn’t seem like they will. I’m 38 and I’ve seen countless amazing bands do this , they record an incredible groundbreaking first or second album and it’s all downhill from there and most of the time they never match the standard they set for themselves… Look at it this way from a musicians point of view : that first album is the culmination of a lifetime of thoughts, emotions, and creative energy distilled into an album, and then from that point they’re always trying to recreate that initial “splash” that they caused. I think it’s less about talent, and more about momentum and circumstance Don’t get me wrong, I hope/wish they do, and wish them the best, but it seems pretty unlikely to me, despite how talented they are. I appreciate your reply, I never check my YT replies but today I just happened to look and see this 🤘🤘

I mean, they stated that only 2 days passed between Megamind and Megamind 2. So this misery happened 1 day after the events of "The Bottom of Doom" took plays which means that Megamind totally had his evil stuff back after defeating MegaMegamind. And the writers should have known that Metroman is now Musicman xD I mean they even incorporated a reference to his bad singing abilities in Button of Doom. xD Argh, its so frustrating.

honestly i thought erik's vocals were the only consistently good thing about this album, there were a few songs i enjoyed instrumentally but GOD the core songs here are either so fucking uninteresting or lyrically so pretentious and convinced of their own "genius" that it's just an aggravating listen all the way through, and this is coming from a MASSIVE fan of their 2014-2018 stuff
