Metroman literally had under a second to go through his character arc. He realized that just because he had powers didn't mean he had to be a superhero and the whole thing, despite getting endless praise, got boring to him and in turn retired to do music, letting Megamind be the hero because he knew deep down he was a good person I know it's unnecessary to recite something we already know, but if we know then what stops DreamWorks from knowing?

I think the writers just thought "Oh, this is just going for really young kids so who cares about keeping the story. Little kids won't remember". I can tell you kids even little kids will totally remember. I also hate the idea of "This is for little kids... toss in a random kid to join because little kids won't watch something if a small child isn't in it". Even as a kid I hated when companies did that.

True. At least with shows like "Batman the Animated Series" and "X-Men" it made sense to introduce kid characters into the show to segway into the story because it made sense within the narrative itself. Or in "BAS", they were just replicating what was already done in comics decades before with their own spin on it. Here, it's just being clumsily done because the people behind it think everyone who's going to watch it is a total moron. This is just one of this situations where Megamind should've never became a franchise. It was better off as a self contained story imo.

Scientist inspired by megamind accidentally sets a madness potion on fire and makes his lab full of madness gas that he inhales thus creates a new villain, the scientist himself because idk any name i should give him, he creates a vehicle that uses insanely powerful blasts of plasma and minion was forced to fight him for 10 minutes using newly returned evil stuff before megamind and roxanne discovers a cure to the madness potion but due to the scientist’s other technology, megamind went through a hard time and accidentally killed the scientist instead of curing him and discontinuing his research because of the scientist’s reckless invasion of metro city, megamind and minion realized how hard it is to defend metro city without casualties Nah, this isn’t better than the movie and tv show as sequels
