I often think of his debate with Buckley. Leary was not in his best form during that broadcast, but it always made me consider questions I would have liked to have asked, had I been one of those students in the audience... For instance, "Dr. Leary, suppose you succeed in your stated goal of convincing an entire generation (and, assumedly, all subsequent generations to follow) to "turn on, tune in, and drop out" of their toxic civilization, its institutions, and the constraints of Western society, can you describe, more clearly, the benefits our species would reap from this mass abandonment? When every nurse and doctor simply 'drops out' of their hospital jobs, mid surgery? When every scientist simply 'drops out' of their research into beneficial life-saving technologies and medicines? When every weatherman, firefighter, farmer, and train conductor simply stands up and walks away from their societal obligations, en mass, into the woods, never to return? In what way does this vision represented by your motto advance our species? At first glance, it seems a dramatic regression, back to the hunter/gatherer tribes; tribes who knew nothing of germ theory, electromagnetism, or the microscopes you seem to regard so highly in your metaphor. No, each of these are the results OF the complex civilized societies you seem to regard with such contempt. Unless... I am misunderstanding who, exactly, you're not permitting to 'drop out' with you?'"

I want to experience suicidal thoughts due from taking from LSD. I've taken a whole sheet of tabs before with very little noticeable effect due from tolerance skyrocketing from prior usage. I can confirm that anecdotally. There are old and bold Shamans but the two are mutually exclusive and their advice travels not very far regionally. Globalization may have changed the aforementioned stated claim.

First thought wrong... there is no such thing as toxic modern society. Therefore this speech is subjective gobbly gook.

How can you say there is nothing toxic about modern society
@glennjohn38249 ай бұрын
@@94alhf easy, because it's a red herring. Abstract victimhood to keep the weak from healing and thriving.

We don't have ads on, we don't qualify for the partner program. There should not be any ads unless YT is forcing them, disregarding our preferences.
