Which build do you prefer? I know you started as empress, but have an emperor build. I've been playing empress since i made arcana, but one of my friends who is an arcana main swapped to emperor and never swapped back. He mentioned he enjoyed it a lot more because you're at range for all your major damage, and a lot safer to play than empress. I've been thinking about swapping for a long time, but decided to go 440 instead for empress, which made it harder... XD There is an appeal to emperor that I like, it's a giga uptime class, but there's also some downsides I don't like, one of the most sweaty uptime classes in the game, if not the most. Thoughts?

Also just clear this week with 200 ping on sup and arcanist. really hard to dodge some patterns due to ping and the sync issue with scratch dealer is driving me crazy, used Emperor to clear in the end, played so hard and only upright fighter meanwhile my friend's souleater cruel fighter with 50% damage.... Didn't know your empress is swift built, is it better? I feel normal spec crit build is so slow when so used to full swift class.

Why not cull + serendipity?

some things i recommend: - prioritize stacking skills over 3head because they help you boundless faster. in fact, you cant really use it in boundless cuz ur stacking skills come off cd so fast, UNLESS you have balance to make use of cod/spiral and faster ruins. - i think you can wait for a card combo with cull/tf with non-evoke builds, but with evoke builds you want to get rid of them asap - after a judgement, i actually hold off on cards for a bit til i draw two. that's because i wanna clown judgement again. it's such an incredibly snowballing card; not only does it give you damage, it gives you another card most of the time - for 332/440, it is pretty good to clown moons/corrosions, because your card draw is pretty slow and these are uptime cards - i don't recommend clowning tf even if you get a bad roll. it's rng on top of rng - i would only clown joy in magick addiction - you can consider culling SG + seren if you are about to get a new card, and rain is on cd. if you do the normal SG + foak in 440, you might overcap your meter. - if you are on comms with support, communicating with their buff callouts is very good for empress. especially since card draw isn’t too fast and you can wait a bit - i would be mindful of the content you are during when deciding to wheel awakening. for example, if boss enrage is less than 5 minutes and you have two awakenings, i would wheel awakening. i would then pair the second awakening with a cull. on the contrary, if the boss has more than 5 minutes til enrage, i would just wheel rain. awakening will come up in time by then. rain is probably more damage on average and contributes to your boundless.

What are some tips and tricks to go into boundless mana faster and stay there longer?

you can greed snipe alot more if you know the pattern and utelize the litlle backstep it does, but ig you got ping so it makes it harder

Thank you for this guide. I've been playing an arcana since the slayer release. It's one of my favorite classes. I feel like i'm still pretty terrible at the class. I think my biggest issue right now is dealing with the star card, your section on that helped a lot. I'm currently running lvl 9s ruin skills for my 332 build, with 1 lvl 9 cd for celestial rain and lvl 7 cd gems for the rest of the skills. I was trying to figure out if it would be more impactful to get those damage gems to 10 to start, or upgrade all my cooldown gems to 9s before i get some level 10s. What should I do?

Destroyer was lantern, aero died, and you dont apply your own synergy before bursts. This class is definitely broken lmao

as a GS, i do walk in front of boss when other teammates are behind, but i find the chance of boss targeting players in front of it seems higher. so i end up getting hit a lot by doing so. might be just bias.

Dealing with painters and holyknights that dont stop spaming his mana reg skills, so i end up having like a 5-8 sec window of boundless mana is the most annoying thing ever.

Emperor is sooo high apm once you're in boundless its so fun. I played it before rework when it was kinda baaad and it makes me so happy how well tuned it is and good in raids overall. Emperor + clown card combo at the end of Akkan g3 feels really fun.
