Hear me out. After Link was transported back in time to make up for the years he lost, many go by. By that time, Link has found peace and has his own daughter. She is around the same age as Link when Ganondorf somehow manages to strike again. The Master Sword is still sheathed away in its pedestal and hasn't been touched since the battle with Ganon. Ganon is now striking again and breaking through the seal the sages had placed on him. The daugher of link finds herself in the Temple of Time. The stones of water, fire and earth were preserved. She manages to open the door and find the sword. As the theme plays, she gets a vision of her father pulling the sword from the pedestal and becoming the most inportant person in Hyrule. The Hero of Time. She walks to the sword, her hands shaking. She watches as the vision shows her Father's battles and hardships. The vision is clearly a message to her. To pull the sword from its pedestal and save Hyrule once again. She pulls the sword, and the cycle repeats. She is the new Hero of Time. Or... after Link is transported back and meets with Zelda at the ending scene of the game... Zelda speaks about her dream and Link is off to fight once again. He pulls the sword and the song ends.
