I love the Serenade of Water. So I had to try and see if I can give it my own spin. What do you think?

This is a masterpiece. Perhaps the best version of Serenade of Water I have ever heard. By far my favorite Temple song in the game.

I challenge you to make a 5 minutes song from any Zelda theme cause one minute is not enough for most of us and your work is f*ck*ng awesome.

I've got to say this is by far my favorite rendition of Serenade of Water, the same has been true for all your other pieces as well. Usually, I'm not fond of atmospheric effects in songs but every time you've used them they've added to the work. This one, for instance, makes you feel like you're exploring an underwater temple. I'd love to hear your version of Nocturne of Shadow.

Thank you so much for these nice words. I really appreciate that you took the time and even more happy that you like the renditions. Cheers mate! :-)

Hello. I find it really hard to start writing to you, I'm afraid I won't be able to put in words what I want to express. I'll do my best. First off, I want to point out how wonderfully you captivated the feeling of each and every Zelda song you chose, because zelda's soundtracks are not just music, they also depict a landscape, a situation, a whole context - one you'd miss if you hadn't played the games and got inmersed as you clearly did. In this case, for example, the instrument you use to play the melody at the beggining is trying to take us to the Water Temple, the clock-ticking kind of timing reminds us of the maze that awaits us underwater, the harmony takes us to Twilight Princess' version - and this kind of appreciations can be made listening to any of your versions, which I find admirable. But I'm not only amazed by how you take my mind -and my soul- to so many places, I'm also deeply amazed by how proffesionaly it all turns out. As while I hear your music (and I have to say "your music" and not "your covers" because I feel you made them your own) I hear Marianelli (composer for Vendetta), James Newton Howard (composer for The Hunger Games) and Yoko Kanno (composer for Arjuna). The way you turn melodies into leit motivs and develop them into whole pieces, the refreshing resources you use to orchestrate and harmonize (the way you use strings and percussion is stunning and it definitely reminds me of James Newton Howard) to make the melodies you pick sound new, the way you manage to make melodies grow into emotional crescendos that get higher and higher (Gate of Time and Zelda's Lullaby's mash up is a perfect example: gate of time is all about repetition, it gives the impression nothing is changing -although the harmony below is always telling you things do change even if you can't notice, making you feel uneasy- and Zelda's Lullaby is about the hope things will change and they will be okay in the end. But how? How can you mash up those two leit motivs and get a result that keeps both of those meanings? Well, I couldn't give a proper answer to that question, but you can, and you did. The timing is still telling us the clock is ticking, the harmony is still telling us things might not change for the best, the orchestration is telling us about the journey we will face if we want to defy the clock, but the melody is telling us nothing of that matters because hope is worth the sacrifice) and the way you grab melodies that express something that is undeveloped ingame and make them shine their true brightness (as you did with the Song of Time - the arrangement you made for the beginning, the chantics and the strings telling us about a forgotten era, the female voice singing the song of time, as if the goddesses themselves were singing to the hero of time, the harmony -complitely opposite to what we hear in Ocarina of Time-, full of hope and joy, with a celtic touch and finally the epic percussion in the end warning us it's only the beginning of our journey, but giving us the strength to go on). I could keep on trying to explain why I'm so touched by your music, but I believe saying you made me cry several times while listening to your channel is the only thing that really expresses what I feel. And I know my words here are not enough, because in the end I just want to thank you. Thank you, for being the wonderful composer you are, and sharing it with us. Thank you.

Hey, man! Great song, btw... Listen, I am putting together a documentary for my business. And I was wondering, and it's totally cool if it's a no, but can you post an extended version of this song for my doc, and can I get permission to use it? Again, it's okay if it's a no. P.S., I'm a big Zelda fan, and this song is just perfect! This is a perfect movie-trailer song!
@hyruleorchestra43394 жыл бұрын
Hey :-) Thank you! As far as I'm concerned you can totally use this for your business. But keep in mind that this is not a completely original composition. It is based on the intellectual property of Nintendo. So if your usage involves any form of financial gain, this might create a legal issue. So make sure you're not putting yourself into trouble here ;-) Unfortunately I have absolutely no time to create an extended version though. But I'm sure you'll find ways to edit this one to be a little longer. :-) All the best and Happy Holidays!
