I suppose mentioning Philips Hue lighting would be a bit of a faux pas? I have a bit of an addiction for these; bulbs, strips, lamps, spots, all of which are dimmable and many of which are colour. They aren’t cheap, but they are such fun, and you get the most wonderful layers of lighting, from ambient and soft, to dramatic and colourful. However, none of that means a thing without understanding the tips and tricks that you talk about in this video, so thank you very much indeed for yet another great design video.

I love your videos Sophie and your home is so lovely. I’m watching this on a very grey, rainy Monday morning in September and it’s inspiring and calming. My Christmas ritual is to pack away all the decorations, usually the morning of New Year’s Eve and we just leave the tree, all foliage and fairy lights. It’s a different sort of woodland magical to bring in the new year.

I remember once I was around this rather large house the lady asked what I thought of the decor… I said “it’s a bit 1980’s and dated” Later the other people there told me I was wrong to have said that…I was like but she asked my opinion. Anyway a little while later we returned ..she had decorated the Hall way. It was beautiful and stylish. And she Thanked me for my feedback that day ☺️ So excited to see what you do Sophie your was gorgeous though.

i do not like kiling animals and skinning them to make bags and shoes, it is a crime ..merciless and a barbaric and brutal abomination, l call on you to refuse and refrain from wearing animal skins

This is just magnificient. On a minor note, I would have liked to see more references to Islamic Art & Design. This villa could well be located in London or Paris. No balanced combination of Western and Islamic arts, which I believe would have been a greater challenge to achieve. But the result on this video is just MAGNIFICIENT - Well done -
