I feel like the battle between Shilese and Qui on bars will be incredible. Simone is truly only battling with herself, and I see her having the greatest Olympic comeback story

This needs an update after the 7.0 and 7.2 at Chinese nationals as well as Suni’s new 6.6 routine :-)

I have had her on my team for months because of this Cheng. This Skye rockets her over Jordon, pun intended.

Ok now this is very exciting! I didn’t know if she was really competition ready for this vault but it sure seems she is! If she can hit this Cheng, a good beam and bars, she will have a massive chance to make the team

I wonder why the Chinese haven't put any multiple turns in their routines since they are so good at twisting tumbling skills on floor.

Simone Biles should be able to do a Nabieva. She has the power and is so tiny . Should be nothing for her to clear the bar. But every gymnast knows their strengths and weaknesses better than anyone else.
@palhacavitimista3203Ай бұрын

@leykimayriАй бұрын
Nope, it’s done, no chance of competing.
@bruins94laurent85Ай бұрын
@@leykimayri I thought they could under no flag? Was there an update
@leykimayriАй бұрын
@@bruins94laurent85 You need to qualify in order to go to the Olympics. The Russians couldn’t qualify a team since they didn’t take part in 2022/2023 worlds since they were banned and individually no Russian athlete has participated in world cups or the European championships in order to qualify individually at the Olympics (like, for instance, Nina Derwael qualified through world cups). So it’s done, there is no way that any Russian will participate in the Olympics (at least as far as gymnastics is concerned, no idea about other sports)

Simone is in a league of her own. Barring a total meltdown, the Gold is hers to lose. Andrade should be safe for Silver - if she hits everything, there's no-one else who could realistically challenge her. The battle for Bronze should be an interesting battle. Based on past results, Shilese Jones is the favourite on paper, but there are many others who could challenge her if they hit 4/4. Qiu (shown here), MDJDS from France, D'Amato and Esposito from Italy, Ellie Black from Canada, Kaylia Neymour from Algeria, Flavia from Brazil etc... It's going to be a bloodbath!
@blakegillpuente3904Ай бұрын
I think others to keep an eye on are: Melanie DJDS, Kaylia Nemour, and if she heals up nicely, Jess Gadirova. I'm also excited to see how Nina Derwael does! I don't know that she's likely to end up on the podium, but I feel like she could really crack the Top 5 if she's healthy and hits.
@gymnastiqАй бұрын
Yes I agree except Jess gadirova said she is going to rest and will not be attending the 2024 Olympics
@leykimayriАй бұрын
Jess is not going and Nina will be saving herself I doubt she’ll go full force in Paris. She’s just satisfied only by competing.

@aliciamcdonald7105Ай бұрын
No place on the podium has EVER been certain. Simone has never taken it for granted that she will win the AA crown, she just HAPPENS to have won every single one that she has contested internationally. She has done so, not because she has depended on ANYONE to fall, make mistakes or outright fail, NO! She has done so by doing her best which has always turn out to be better than the other competitors on the day.

Rebeca is much better in vault (1 point almost) FX (0,5l and better on beam (0,3) Shilese is 0,3 ahead on UB That is far from even match
@aliciamcdonald7105Ай бұрын
@@rafaelteixeira7961 The results from last WC says otherwise. Rebeca's biggest problem is her consistency of course. If that was not an issue she would have be further away than .4 points from Shilese and closer to Simone.
@rafaelteixeira7961Ай бұрын
@@aliciamcdonald7105 that actually says it is not matched Rebeca had her worst cheng there, and subpar beam and fx, and even then she was ahead of shilese.
@aliciamcdonald7105Ай бұрын
@@rafaelteixeira7961 If we are talkin about difficulty alone then yes they are not evenly matched but it never is just that with Rebeca or anyone else for that matter. Btw, Shilese was not performing at her optimum either. She was still having issues particularly with her back from the vehicular accident in 2021. She said she was only 75-80% fit and as such I expect her to closer to if not 100% now.
