C'mon it ain't "deadly". Some scrambling (without the fearsome music BTW ). No macho stuff...it's a hike. The real danger is portraying it as "deadly". Real danger is weather, your fitness, and the attitude to show and tell as an epic. Give us a break. Done it many times.

The Knife Edge is no joke, and I certainly wouldn’t want anyone hiking it without looking up the risks. It can and has taken lives.

@@EpicRnR No lives have been "lost" on the Knife Edge EXCEPT under severe weather. Users' error, not the trail.

Avalanche. Enjoyed your video. I hiked it aug-sept of this year. I remember that avalanche section and I remember how Glenn Pass (unexpected) kicked my butt. At Pinchot, I named the area Mordor. That one was difficult, because the climb getting there, NOBO was long, hot and little to no water.

I own a Lanshan One, with an inner mesh and 'T' zips, and I like it a lot. Re: your tent pegs. I don't know the ones you use but I use aluminum star-type ones. Their one disadvantage is that they can be painful on the palms your hands, and often needed to be finalised with a push from the sole of my boot. But not anymore, I bought a small plastic 'T' plumbing unit from my local hardware store. I fit the vertical tube of the 'T' over my peg, and the horizontal part of the 'T' rests in my hand. I then just push the peg into the ground, so no palm pain, no need to use my boot, it works so well.

I just learned of this video today! I'm the guy with the yellow X-Men (X) TRAINEE shirt! 2023 was my first Mudder, and your group was right by mine! I wish I remembered the name of the guy who helped me through so much! I had been disappointed that Tough Mudder Official had no photos of me in 2023. I just ran the 2024 Tough Mudder Chicago yesterday, August 24, and had a blast my second time around.

I live about 25 miles from FC and hike there three times a week (MWF). I've been on all of the trails you covered, during various seasons, and they are truly great. Growing up in the area, several families and friends would picnic there during warmer weather, so it holds many wonderful memories for me, 77 years later. FYI, the Boyscout Trail you ventured on was the only road into the park for many years, and it was "thrilling" coming down those narrow roads in a car. My mom always grabbed onto my knee when we descended into the park. Once we got to our picnic spot, our parents cooked up the best fried chicken dinners with all the fixings (French fries, salads, and wonderful homemade pies). I'll be back there, again, next week. Thanks for a great tour!!!

nothing deadly about it.Granted knife edge will scare the hell out of you but it's not a deadly trail i think that reason that it's not as deadly as it could be is because the BSP rangers have the authority to close the mountain if they believe that it's unsafe to climb
