I found bringing a good pair of wading sneakers and being willing to get naked and ford like a mountain man with a pack over your head followed by a quick fire on the other side was expedient and necessary if you have been in for a week and it rained the last five days of it. Ah, the good old days. Great video. But it is pronounced Wah- sha- kee Pass after the Shoshone chief and it's the Wind River not the Windy. The natives called it the River of the Wind, probably because it and the wind come from the same place, the divide.
