Those 3 nuts on the top cover, how are they suppose ld to come off? The one closest to the gas tank came out of its hole but the other two will not come free to be able to gain access to the pull start.

You didn't have to put the little silver ring on there? How did you center the blade, since the hole is much bigger than the threaded stud?
@CalvinThomas0519 күн бұрын
Hi. On mine the back plate with the hole in to lock the spindle is the correct size for the blade . then I just put the husqvarna blade adapter ( washer ) bump ring and nut. Yeah I rather use the silver bump ring. it saves the nut from digging in the ground. Cheers. Calvin

How's it holding up? I'm a husqvarna fan and I'm currently looking at this model, upgrading from my 525 rxt... Great machine but i need a bit more power
@CalvinThomas0528 күн бұрын
Hi . Yes its real good. Exactly the same as later 535rx, I love it . I'll never sell it but I will get a 545rx Bigger / Stronger machine again. Cheers. Calvin

@@CalvinThomas05 that's good to hear, it was that or the stihl 4 mix alternative.. never used one but seems like more to potentially go wrong and most maintenance, I do really like husqvarna. I'm glad you've started uploading videos again I used to watch all of your older stuff and did wonder what happened
@falfield29 күн бұрын
Do you really think that the top will fill in with smaller growth? My experience of evergreen hedges suggests it won't - once you've reduced them to bare wood it stays that way - unlike deciduous hedges which have dormant buds activated by light & sap reaching them. And you'll need a 750Kg arborist chipper - (£20k+ new) to not have to spend another 2 days feeding it in. Chippers don't like short stubby stuff.
@CalvinThomas0528 күн бұрын
Hi, It doesn't really matter if it doesn't grow back on the top. The customer wanted more light in they're garden

I was always told that i shouldnt cut hedges flat on the top like this, because when snow comes, if theres a lot, then the snow can split the hedge. is that true?
@CalvinThomas05Ай бұрын
Hi. I cant say if that is true but this Hedge as always had a flat top ( All my life 50 years ) and it has always been ok when it has snowed. I suppose you could just pull some off if the snow got to high on it to help it. Cheers. Calvin

For me it still the STIHL because I just love STIHLs I been buying them for 10 years now. My first one was a BR350 backpack blower I got in June of 2014. Then a year later in July of 2015 I got a FS56 RC trimmer. Then in August of 2019 I sold both of them to my buddy before my big move from IL to SC. Then in October of 2019 I got a STIHL BGA57 battery power blower. Then two years ago I got a STIHL RMA 510 V battery power mower. And a FSA 60 R battery trimmer for my sister house. Then 4 months ago I got a STIHL BG86C for Christmas. Because as much I did liked the BGA57 I wanted to upgrade to something more powerful. Because not only I blow my house. But I also blow one of my neighbors house because she is in her 80s and her husband died 2 years ago. So I been helping her out with blowing her driveway plus her driveway is bigger and longer then my driveway is. Plus my BGA57 was a little underpowered especially when it came to big leafs and tree sticks. Plus my sister needed a blower for her house so I did give her the BGA57. So I have a total of 4 STIHL equipment including the 3 that are at my sister house.

Hi Calvin best video on KZbin on how to sharpen hedge trimmers - I've spent days looking! roughly what spec compressor are you running to power that tool? Trying to work out what has the guts for my needs thanks mate
@CalvinThomas0528 күн бұрын
Hi. Sorry for the late reply. Many thanks for the comments. My compressor is 3hp about 15cfm 150 ltr tank. Even about 12cfm would run a little die grinder or sander easy for this job. Cheers. Calvin

@@CalvinThomas05 oh that’s awesome, I went for similar spec in the end so glad to hear that will work! Now trying to work out if it will run a little sand blaster…
