Honda drives me crazy with their pricing. They know how to rip you off.

My wife and I test drove all three of these cars - the gas Toyota, the gas Honda, and the non-turbo Mazda. She loved the Mazda because simply put - the interior she loved much more than the other two cars. The killer was while the Toyota would only sell for over $4000 over MSRP and the Honda would only sell for $2000 over MSRP, we got a 2023 Mazda with Premium Plus for $10,000 under MSRP. - essentially the same car for a lot less money. It may get worse gas mileage, but it is going to take a long time to make up at current gas prices the $10,000 in savings.

Will Kia carnival be introducing an AWD option in the future? Also, in cold-weather regions like Indiana, Chicago, Minnesota, would it be problematic not to have AWD? Can you provide some guidance?
@toptrims13 күн бұрын
As far as I know, no plans this generation for an AWD option. A good set of winter tires could be better than AWD with the wrong tires. You probably wouldn’t be getting through real deep snow but it would be fairly safe on the road

I don't like Telluride or Palisade front grilles. They give you wow interior features. But I hear they are skimping on other areas. So better driving dynamics in the Pilot.

@landshass284929 күн бұрын
For many years, Toyota hybrid owners get used to the smart access doors that are now optional despite having the push start. This is annoying, when you have to dig into your pocket to unlock the doors, and then you have to put back the fob into your pocket because you don't need it since it is a push start. . The basic RAV4 hybrid comes with no smart access doors but at least you got a regular blade key, that you don't have to to put it back in your pocket because you need to insert it in the ignition.

I would go with the Camry LE FWD with the convenience and cold weather packages for less than $32,000. Small 16” wheels and sparsely equipped, but IMO that would represent the spiritual successor to the original Prius ethos.

We just bought the turbo premium in machine gray. Traded in a 2022 CX-9 carbon edition in poly metal gray. Came out to 39,819 Really like our 2022 CX-9 carbon edition even though we never used the 3rd row even once. I think the CX-5 is about 18 inches shorter.
@toptrimsАй бұрын
That’s exciting! How are you liking the feel of the CX-5 compared to the CX-9?
@oscardelta1257Ай бұрын
@toptrims The CX-5 doesn't feel as smooth riding as the CX-9 but I suspect it's because the wheel base on the CX-5 is shorter, however, the CX-5 seems more nimble. I don't know if it's just an optical illusion but the tires on the CX-9 looked sligjtly wider than on the CX-5, although the tires appear to be premium Toyo tires on the CX-5. Wheels are the same black except the lug nuts are chrome on the CX-5 but we're black on the CX-9. Kinda of disappointed that the interior lighting we had in our CX-9 isn't in the CX-5. The CX-9 had really cool interior lighting inside the doors etc you could see everywhere inside the cabin when driving at night, the light was soft LED lighting. Passengers always commented how great it was. The CX-5 does have a few more options than our CX-9 turbo carbon edition had. Namely the heads up display, wireless android auto and Apple carplay, USB C ports in the center console instead of USB A ports and traffic jam assist. They also threw in a cargo net since I left the one I bought in the CX-9. We used the cargo net all the time especially when hauling groceries. I did test drive the CX-90 and wasn't that impressed, I think our CX-9 actually was better. Also test drove the CX-50 premium plus and really liked it but they couldn't make the numbers work. We bought the last 2024 CX-5 turbo premium the dealer had and they wanted to get rid of the 2024's so they gave us a good deal. All in all we are happy with it, our payment is less by a Jackson and a Lincoln per month and our monthly insurance is less and we didn't put anything down. It was a straight up you take ours and we'll take yours. We went to the same dealership, it's important to build a relationship with the dealership because you're dealing with the same people who sold you the last vehicle, you know them and they know you. The salesperson who sold us the CX-9 was promoted to a sales manager so we were actually dealing with the same person which was great. In fact a lot of the same people were still there which tells me they like working for that dealership.

Your video is very helpful. I've spent a few hours on Toyota's site configuring a Rav4 hybrid. I like the XSE the best. What I don't like is no choice for interior color - only black is available. Another problem is shopping for the XSE. I want the advanced technology package #3, because it has all the options I want but no panoramic moonroof (I don't want the pano moonroof). But I can only find the XSE with advanced tech package #4, and that includes the pano moonroof. It's frustrating to look for an XSE configured with the color and options I want. It's hard to find.
@toptrimsАй бұрын
The option packages can make it pretty convoluted. Best of luck!

LIMITED! the luxury of leather/wood, the durabililty of the 4r. I only got trail rash once, on my black metallic 2007 FJ TRD, and said 'never again!' so no rock climbing for me, just Wal-mart speed bump climbing. The direct comparison newby luxoboat crown signia, with ultra light weight in the unibody stamped metal, plastic where Toyota can get away with it and hamster wheel motor, BUT ME TOO! similar pricing to the 4R limited, looks like every other SUV out there. Not to mention 4 bangers work twice as hard as V6's and V8 motors, can't expect million miles outta them. The lexus compo models take premium gas - fuggedboudthem, with no real performance diff, even the discontinued 460 V8 is within a second of the 4r on speed measurements. i am gonna miss no crawl control on the limited, had that on my 2014 Fj; but i have 4 additional studded snow tires on rims for wintering with my 2021 Tundra, and ice is what they are there for and they do real good. i am Buying the 2024 4R like i bought the 2021 Tundra: when it is gone this year, the last and best trucks Toyota ever made (including the original Land Cruiser) will never be seen again.
