At 2:15 you highlight that for Artlist, "your licence isn't activated any more once you cancel your subscription" and at 3:23 that for Epidemic Sound, "your licence stays active after cancelling the subscription". However, I think you're mistaken: they both appear to be the same in that when you cancel your subscription, your licence for future work using their music, even if already downloaded, would no longer be active, whereas the licence for existing published work remains active.

How does it perform on full frame? Especially at the 24mm setting it seems to not cover the whole 3:2 full frame are - I wonder if this is also true for the 16:9 and/or 17:9 crop, we usually record videos in.

Great video considering the Dragon is still relevant. Would love to see it compared to the KX if you can get your hands on one. Edit: would also like to see the side-by-side with the exposure normalized with the Komodo pulled back 1 stop as all the outside footage feels overexposed.

Great video! I just got a pair of Komodos after selling my s1h & eva1. I love the flexibility with shooting but I do still see the value of having a great camera that allows for a h.265 recording. I kept my gh7 but I’m curious to checking out the c70 as replacement for the gh7 but we’ll see

Ich hatte bereits die Komodo, schätze aber so sehr viele Dinge an der Dragon X, auch wenn sie definitiv nicht die perfekte Kamera für jeden Job ist. Unfortunately there's no 4TB cards capable of recording braw. Hopefully I don't encounter this issue with my 990 PRO.

Bought a C70 in january and it’s been great. Thinking about to upgrade. I shoot mostly music videos and promo stuff. Is it worth it?

Do you use this still? If not, what are you now for online cloud storage? I have a backblaze account to backup my drives but I would like an easy way to look up old footage. Also, does this work with all types of video files or only mp4? Can I upload h.265 files, r3d? Prores? thanks!

Hi Paul. What is the focus throw like. Have they made it a little longer than their other stills lenses. It’s really hard to do a focus pull zoomed in on a stills lens… no room on the focus ring..

ISO 4000 is the second gain of the S5ii, why not use it? I only use the native ISO’s at ISO 640 and 4000.

Nice!! I recently sold my s1h & eva1. I loved the image but I reckon it was time to let them go. I picked up a gh7 just for everyday client work but actually love it. I put a speedbooster on it and I’m close to FF. It’s shortcoming is the dynamic range behind my s1h but its pros for me are, AF, uncropped frame rates, internal raw, cfast card, better internal audio (even though I sync externally) it has the tc and the same great versatile screen. Evf on the s1h is the best if that matters. The gh7 has better ibis and can be small using Olympus or panny primes or be rigged out with cine lenses. My s1h & sigma 24-70 were huge on their own. I’m happy with selling my eva1 & s1h. I actually picked up a Komodo so I’ll be testing to see how well the gh7 hangs with it.

The only thing missing for me in the S5iix are the screen of the GH7, and the time code input. Oh, XLR2 compatibility would be nice… and the OLPF wouldn’t hurt.

Servus! Nice revue, P4K vs GH7 in low light ? Do you think that GH7 prores raw can hold it against P4K ? I always found P4K GH5s kind of ok in low light for MFT sure no S5 level but manageable with Neat NR...do you have an opinion about it ...btw unfortunately I am working the same days as your Bayreuter Creator meeting in January (from Biel CH nicht so weit) but I hope you will do it a second time Unfortunately I have concerts as playing musician in the same time and I can not choose when I am free as much as normal job people, kind of the same issues as a filmmaker !!! I am a proud owner of the S5II and or me it ticks all the boxes I need. Some nice to have would be 4k 50 with no crop and the Arri Log C3 option but I am expecting for those in the S1H II (hopefully by the end of the year). I would really love to have a GH7 as a B cam for my S5II

this is a good review. i think 3200 is acceptable in low light conditions with a fast lens. obviously if you do a lot of low light (like concert photography/videography or events at night) the full frame cameras will be preferrable.

What is the top handle you are using? I couldn't find it on small rig website.

Great review. I bought a used C70 in Feb and went into it with both eyes open about it’s weaknesses as a super 35 camera. Coming from a C100 M2 obviously a big improvement in detail, autofocus and dynamic range. Overall very happy with the camera but I was disappointed to find out the reviews of the image being “soft” were true. I’m not now rushing out to upgrade as this camera serves my needs very well, but the C80 looks like it will fill a nice niche for better low light and detail at an acceptable price for us indie, run-and-gun shooters.

If you already have the C70, keep it. If you've been holding off on buying an FX6 or a C70 -- buy the C80.

great video! Coming from R5C I was tempted by C70 at times but I really want full frame and didn't like the softness of the sensor for what I shoot. The C80 fixes both of these for me and the new AF and triple-base ISO mean it's an instant buy for me.

100% agree with yah. For me the 4k res is a perfect size for me, doesn't fill up a huge amount of space and can edit it easily without lagging.
