The one thing that really boosts skill, at a fundamental understanding level, is that as hard as it is to accept: Stop. Drawing. Anime. At least until you understand WHAT you're drawing, at its core. I certainly fell into the clutch of drawing the same, tiny proportioned anime faces over, and over, and over again. It was easy, comfortable, safe. Yet, my skill level at its base never grew. It's so difficult and scary moving into realism. Yet, since doing so and truly taking the time to learn anatomy and fundamentals, it's so easy to take a big leap of improvement. Of course, everyone likes to indulge themselves and draw what interests them. Unfortunately, learning to draw in a more "technical" way isn't so fun. It's hard work and can be frustrating and grueling. Once you can really start to understand how things work, how the body connects and moves, things become so clear. A huge asset is definitely Loomis, who I've learned so much from. His perspective on things and his teaching methods are super clear and easy to understand. Stepping out of that anime/stylized comfort zone is so so hard. Once you can, though, you'll seriously see huge improvement. When you understand the human form better, that's when you can truly use it in a meaningful and impactful way for stylization. One that also makes sense anatomically, even if proportions are pushed. Thanks for coming to my Ted Talk.

i haven't watched a PewDiePie video since I was a teen and I'm 32 now and to see him go from screaming gamer to this gentle dad living in Japan is WILD. Life is incredible sometimes when you see how much people change and grow. Good for him, I hope he and his family have a beautiful, fulfilling, and happy life. It's nice to see after all the turmoil happening in my country.

God. There was a time in my life where THE most important thing to me was the next part of this series. I'm now a manager, with a wife, and a baby on the way, watching this in my first house. Legitimately brings me to tears- this was the good old days.
