Can I use different kind of selonoid I got a yamaha 450 atv

Be super easy with that last fuel line. That nipple breaks and you screwed. $500 for a new fuel pump. Ask me how I know…..

What fork seal kit did y’all use because the ones it shows in the parts break down are too small for this style fork?
@robbie1255Ай бұрын
Ducati recommends using 15W50 oil. Did you use 10w40 for a reason?
@MikeTАй бұрын
Incorrect, the service manual for the 08 sport 1000 calls for 10W40

Great video. I wasn’t sure about what to do after the bondo glass. Using the fiberglass sheets to add the hard structural layer makes sense and I wasn’t accounting for that at all. Cheap and easy way to double down on structural integrity. (I hit a hidden rock 50’ off shore coming in yesterday and am doing this similar repair)

I have a question about a repair I need to do on my jetski if you don't mind. I have a 97 seadoo xp that I traded some rc car stuff for and when I got it home realized it was in a little bit rougher shape than I thought. Anyway around the front bumper where the two hulls are riveted together a couple of the rivets completely broke out the fiberglass so I was wondering how I should go about patching that up so I can drill new holes through and re-rivet it back together. Thank you
@MikeT3 ай бұрын
I guess it would depend on how damaged the holes are. Are you able to open and clean up the hole and use the next size up rivet? If not, we use some 2 part stuff called Hysol on aircraft when we have issues like that and need to fill and re drill holes on a composite piece. It takes forever to cure but when it does, it's the same strength as metal.
@TheBerto8403 ай бұрын
@MikeT it's hard to explain but the 2 holes that connect the front bumper are completely drilled out so the hole is now a horseshoe like it was drilled out. Gonna need to form some fiberglass to fill the gap of the whole and I'm just not sure how to begin lol. Wish I could show you a picture

How would you start if it was a hole all the way through?
@MikeT4 ай бұрын
Either start on the inside and put a few layers of fiberglass cloth down or bond a thin piece of sheet metal to the inside and the build the repair off of that from the outside the same as shown in the video

I'm here now for my confession. After I let a kid start up my Kodiak for fun, it later refused to start. I checked everything - connections, switches, fuses, battery, grounds, relay, even regulator. NO LUCK. Then I sat on the quad and tried to remember what he might have done while sitting on it. Then I discovered a very small button I NEVER KNEW EXISTED under the starter switch - the engine kill switch. So after replacing the solenoid and almost submitting to a mechanic for help, I found the problem. The kid had hit that button by accident I never knew it. I told my wife I had finally found a loose plastic wire connector, so we'll leave it at that.
