Can you send me a link to the hose you bought? I purchased one and it fits fine but nothing is coming out when plugged in. When I take the plug out it’s coming out just fine

I dont not have a link. I bought mine a long time ago. Are you running a gravity feed set up and trying to flush coolant through? If so and that is whats not working, I would try hooking a hose to it and running water with pressure behind it to flush out what ever might be blocking it

Any other video I've seen about using that hose says to start the engine first when flushing out the salt water. Why would this be different?

Because when flushing the engine you are using a hose with pressure behind it. The pressure of the hose could damage seals and force water into places it shouldnt be. With an antifreeze set up like this, it is gravity feed and not pressurized there for you do not run that risk or need the engine running to produce back pressure to prevent damage.

If you're going to run antifreeze through the engine instead of just blowing it out, please use "RV" antifreeze as it's propylene glycol and it's completely safe if introduced into the environment, such as a lake. The green antifreeze you're using is likely ethylene glycol and is toxic to animals as well as people. Otherwise good video. Thanks.

I have a yamaha jet boat sx210 that for some reason the starboard engine is always throwing a Low oil pressure warning light and going it limp mode. I have this problem cruising 8000 rpm. I kill the motor for few minutes and start back up and it goes away and 5minutes after goes again . I have no clue whats causing this. Motor has 79 hours. Thanks

Maos A Obra guessing you might have a spark plug issue. Check you connections. You can call your local Yamaha dealer. They can hook up a computer and see what the code says. Of course you’ll have to appointment and trailer it to them.

Have same issue. Mechanic seems to think it is an issue with the jet pump not efficiently pushing through enough water at high RPMs. I had new plugs installed prior to this season and it still occurred so I am seriously thinking of having new jet pumps installed. Acceleration was also very sluggish and mechanic swears it’s due to old/worn jet pumps. Good luck.

Great info this was the first summer with my ar210. Question how much antifreeze do I run through each engine? Do you change the oil now or spring?

Until it comes out as antifreeze and not water. I wait till spring to change the oil since my theory is always why put new oil in for it to just sit all winter in a harsh environment

I filled the bucket with four gallons just to be on the safe side and marked that level on the outside of the bucket. After running the antifreeze through the engine for a sufficient amount of time and until the engine cut out after fogging (5 min) I noticed I had used approximately 1 gallon of the antifreeze. The port engine seemed to take twice as long to bog down and shut off. My only question of this video is with the sequence of turning on the antifreeze flow and starting the engine. In the video, he introduces the antifreeze prior to starting the engine and I thought it was supposed to be the opposite. Also, change oil and plugs when opening up boating season in spring.

You would have to talk to a dealer in your area for a price

Around Lake Anna, $400-$450 if they come to you. $250-$300 if you trailer to them.

Bertie Mcclellan okay that’s less than anticipated. If I run the boat about 50 hours a season, how many times per year will I need to have this service done?

Jake Stoler I usually do my boat in the fall in early October. It’s easy to do your self. I’ll do the spark plugs every other year and depending on the oil color I might do that every other year also. Check the air filters also. I guess the price really depends on what you have done. Having 2 engines in the AR210 do you follow these steps for each engine or is it only necessary to do the one engine?

You need to do this to both engines and they have independent water cooling systems
