thought the movie was boring (still loved the audio & visuals tho) and the themes didnt resonate with/apply to me but this video made me appreciate it a little more, thanks for sharing

I saw this movie yesterday without a clue what it was about and I left utterly mesmerised. I couldn't wait to do a deep dive into all the symbolism and meaning and just generally engage with the films contents more, so I really appreciated your video. It has so many fantastic takes and it's very easy to listen / get drawn in by you. I can't wait to watch more of your content.

I’ve heard the phrase “the community reflects the creator” many times over the years and I never really agreed with it. But here? I see where the sentiment stands on.

Finally got around to watching this movie, I loved it besides the actual design of Mr. Melancholy. He was far too goofy and made me outright laugh at it. Had the vibe of someone wanting to hit an ARG monster look without knowing how to execute. On the side of "kids" stuff to dark for kids. Flapjack anyone? xD I loved that show. I'm in the same deal tho, sheltered life that lead to catching up on a lot of TV and media.

Just started the video but I’ve felt for a long time that introvert/extrovert don’t do a good job describing the phenomenon. I’m an introvert when it comes to strangers and normies but I am energized by spending 100% of my time around people I like 😂

the money machine whatever thing gave me so much hope for a moment, because it looks like it'd be representing a coffin/being buried as it's sideways like it's depicted elsewhere. i was like "oh boy! finally! she's gonna do it!" and i was INSTANTLY punched in the gut

what i like about the ending is that you are able to interpret it in two ways. you can either interpret that owen didn't escape into their true self, or, you can interpret that they did make it in the end. either way, i saw this film last night and i am still processing it.

I watch a lot of youtube videos about seemingly random topics, games I don't have time to play or movies I don't have any real motivation to watch. But you often end up posting about topics I found myself interested in on my own, that and the fact that you're around my age (which feels absolutely mind blowing for a young adult who grew up online), your channel feels like falling from rabbit hole to rabbit hole surrounded by fellow lurkers of the internet coming out of our shell to share every bit of obsessive interest we kept to ourselves about these media we had no one to talk about. This channel and its community bring me hope and peace when the outside becomes too much, thanks

I have to say that one of the reasons I love this channel is realising how much we have in common as introverts who love weird stuff. And the realisation that us weirdo’s outnumber the ‘normies’

Ok i forgot this was on my watch later playlist and literally lost my comment. But some up my heart vomit. This comment section is giving me cavities. Uhhh, And the reason I'd say this is my favorite channel, it feels like nerding out with a best friend i dont really get to have currently and idk, there's a sense of coziness to that.. but yes i am also a technically lonely kid and your really relatable. :) Idk if you're gonna even see this comment but uh Yeh ❤ (Oh and i might've accidentally made a spiderman oc basec off of you one year ago i. Everyone has a different experience with homeschooling. I’m sorry yours was lonely. I homeschooled my three kids for 12 years way back when it was rare. Luckily my boys were into sports and made lots of friends and my daughter got dragged along to practices and competitions where there were others around. Our house was where the kids in the neighborhood hung out.

The part about gender effecting your attraction is just true, I know I like women, but the thought of being with a woman while precived as a man feels so wrong. Also a lot of people feel so much admirational atraction that it kind of covers up there atraction to the same gender.

Interesting Daniel to hear your explanation of your progression. One thing I did notice when you first appeared on the interweb was your (in my opinion) slight lack of a sense of humour which when one is 16 can be an understandable thing. At that age, one is still trying to work out what life is about and humour very often gets sidelined as other factors can swamp things like humour. Also, humour is very subjective as well, and what works for the likes of me (a UK bloke) would not necessarily work for a 16 year old teen from the States. But hey ho, it is what it is and humour (plus other personality traits) can change as one grows older into adulthood. Having said that, I have great respect for what you have achieved so far and wish you great success in your future career.

The abyss of loneliness can come in so may different forms, you may have family around you but still feel alone as family is different then friends, you may have online friends but still feel extra lonely due to them always being behind a screen, you may have a big group of friends but still feel lonely, I personally believe when you truly get to be yourself with the right people you'll feel more whole then empty. I very much understand feeling incredibly lonely, personally for me I had to switch to online school in high-school due to heath issues as I wish to get good grades for college, even though I have the internet and ways to talk to my friends it still feels lonely as it's very different. I hope you all someday get to truly be yourself, get to be happy and stop feeling lonely, it will take time but I wish everyone the best <3

I don’t know if anyone else noticed this, but all the characters the man runs into all look like the respective food that the man is looking for. Like the old lady looking like a milk carton (hairstyle), the rich guy looks like a bag of bread, the angsty teen is a paper towel roll, the frantic man looks like a bowl of oatmeal (head shape and hair) and the crazy coffee lady looks like a mug of coffee (head shape, hair, ear shape)

This was perfectly stated and really resonates with me, particularly your part about restless creativity. I often feel unfulfilled, myself, because I worry no one will ever see or care about the art, writing, and music that I pour hours of my time and countless ounces of my soul into. I don't say this often, but this was beautiful. Thank you. You're not alone in this, brother.

This is actually so real and I understand so much lmao Even streaming and having no one see it is fun for me, because my friends are usually on stream with me and we have fun anyways I use streaming and making videos as an outlet (as well as art) and it's so nice to just get it out there, even if it's not seen, but when people actually see it I feel like I'm making someone's day and I feel so motivated I've grown in confidence and started feeling happier as I've started doing streaming (despite struggling to talk sometimes lmao) and despite complaining about editing 2-3hr vods I'm having so much fun making something people can see. Anyways I'm rambling but thank you for helping me realise that I feel exactly like this, and for actually making my day every time I go onto a stream :)
