Rainbolt: It's go time. *opens geoguessr* Ok, this air looks like it's from denmark *Only 2 inches away from official location* We can take that. Alright, this tree looks North American, *Gets correct location (north america)* Nice. Okay, this grass looks from Japan, *chooses Tokyo* *is 20 miles away* We can take that (2x)

When I first found this song, I was in a dark place. Admittedly, it did not help. The eerie, melancholic keen at the start of the piece became the anthem of my sorrow. The violins felt fleeting, and sad under the grandeur. Like the last frame of a sad movie. I found myself in a similar sorrow. In my lament I decided to listen to that which had cradled my misery. To my surprise, this time I was carried out of the bog of my own making, flying upon the wings of strings, as I was uplifted by a song that now sounded like hope. Swiftly the melody escapes the heft of the first somber notes, building from the darkness instead of spewing from it. The power of music to mean two different things to the same person, separated only by time.

Does a very good job of throwing me from the next octave.. i get the best of both! This piece means many different things to the listener..on the whole it is a bitter sweet symphony and is for me as comforting its title...This is the definition of when sounds transcend words. Truly talented.

Saludos cordiales.

Max I know you will probably never read this but thank you for this music. I have been going to sleep to this every night for about five years now. I put it on and read a book and in no time I am drifting off to sleep. The ethereal parts were strange at first but now I find they lull me back to sleep when I wake up during the night. Sometimes I just put it on to relax as well. I was so excited when I found this documentary. Watching you and the other musicians actually perform the pieces was incredible. Hearing about the process of creating the music and the work you put into it was incredible as well. Thank you for this gift Max! I loved the Leftovers music as well as many of your other pieces I have discovered as well.

The tone of this piece of music is so congruent with the temperature of the film. It enhances the power of the story. Max, you are amazingly gifted.
