Thanks for your comment. This is an urban myth and absolutely false. He never abused her. If anything her acting coach, psychologists, third husband, and former business partner were the ones who exploited and abused her. Joe was the one she ran to for help. You may like to watch my video about the "Surgeon Story" to see what happened to Marilyn at the hand of her abusers. That image in the video is a sculpture of what Marilyn looked like (there were no photos) and he did not pick out the dress. Her sister did. And it was Emilio Pucci, her favorite brand.

Talk about star crossed lovers. I have no doubt that he truly loved her. His jealousy overcame him and he hit her. She was an early example of a woman who didn't accept that and divorced him. You can see the hurt on her face when she was with her lawyer. In the end it appears that they were reconciling but it was too late.
