Thank you! Adorable buns in this video. Do you have a Glucosamine recommendation? One of my bunnies doesn’t like Oxbow Joint Support.

Some alternative options to Oxbow Joint Support are Myristol Pellets, or Well Kept Rabbit makes a joint support tablet with Myristol pellets in them.

My bunny is much less cooperative, she is only 7 months old and will run away as fast as she can when I try to give her her medicine.... and she usually accepts pets and affection. I feel like I am loosing her trust

I lost my bunny today on the early morning 💔 I didn't know she had Gi stasis, she stopped eating, drinking, pooping for more than 24 hours, I took her to the vet but abviously she wasn't diagnosed correctly, until I found a video on KZbin talking about her symptoms which exactly indicates she has been suffering from Gi stasis, but unfortunately it was too late, I gave her simethicone hoping it will work and indeed it really worked, she was finally able to poop after more than 24 hours, however she was very weak and breathing heavily, I think that the toxins have already spread spread to their organs due to the feces being trapped/retained in her intestine for a long time, as bunnies cannot fart, burp or even vomit 😢💔 My advice to anyone who owns a bunny is to monitor its behavior before it is too late. Isolation, lack of appetite and lack of activity are among the primary symptoms of this silent disease that kills our lovely bunnies💔😔 I love you, goodbye shizuka💔

My bunny is having a problem. I am so disappointed to find that place she’s gone her whole life doesn’t have a vet for exotics anymore. I’m hoping it’s arthritis because nothing else makes sense. She’s 10 years old and the signs come and go. when she stretches up to begin with, it’s usually ok, but yesterday she fell over. And she was having trouble using her hind legs. Ive been so down because I don’t know what to do that can help her. Her food and water are very close to her hidey box. When I went to check on her, she was hopping around. I hope we have more time together where she’s comfortable.

Is it normal that my bun had one flat sack and one that took long to get flat?, it was big but eventually it got better… also even tho he is fine and healthy now, after neutering he just doesn’t want to drink water and that worries me, however he is totally fine and has never look sick, I’m wondering if maybe he thinks the veggies that I give me have enough water in them so he doesn’t drink the actual water anymore 😕

Thank you for choosing a difficult rabbit. My boy just got neutered yesterday 😢 he's not eating. He's got 2 meds. 1 pain relief and 1 to keep everything moving. And then on top of that I have got to give him critical care due to not eating. I managed to get 1ml in him yesterday but he's supposed to have atleast 5mls per feed. I will try this in the morning. I'm so worried about him and feel so guilty. He won't even kiss me like he used it. Like he's angry at me 😢😢

@dcgexotic6815 aw bless u. I decided not to force mine. I saw atleast he was pooing. When we have surgery we don't want to eat or have stuff forced down our throats. And as soon as I left mine to it he was fine. Began eating etc. But of course i did tell the vet first. She said it was my choice and I cud try and if all fails cud try force him again

Can a bunny have severe diarrhea with bloat or stasis or does the poop stop altogether. My 9 week old bun passed hours after she had diarrhea everywhere and all over herself. I was trying to look up what to do to help and all I knew about was go stasis and what others said to give was the critical care stuff but she was too weak to even eat or take liquids from a syringe. She was slumping in her water bowl but would seem better when I bundled her up and kept her warm. As soon as I put her down to stretch and maybe get her tummy moving she would just go back to her water bowl put her front paws in and slump into it. I knew she was going slowly. I cried the whole time and no vet in my area could help me or was rabbit savvy. I didn’t expect tummy issues so soon after getting her. I don’t know if I want another rabbit I feel like when they get sick they are way to delicate vs a cat or dog have a better chance at surging tummy imbalances where as rabbits mostly just pass quickly from it if you can help them on Time

I lost my rabbit due to bloating we don't have proper vet who checks rabbits, so I bought him home. He was all sleepy.I was searching for the reasons so I came across this video which gave me exact reason as to what happened to him . I guess it was late or meant to be . I gave him some gastric medicine which contained Simeticone but he started breathing differently seeing him like that gave me chills I rushed him to the vet one decline saying they dont check rabbits so I took him to another he started having seizure....my baby passed away yesterday Im having really hard time coping with the fact. He ate some walnut that was the main reason ..My heart has shrunk my baby rested in paradise in my arms . They are one of the most innocent adorable animal who are playful, naughty, and wicked sometimes .My baby was very intelligent and brave who loved us all and we loved him very much .Its hard to deal with the loss of beloved pets . I will miss you my baby OREO..We will surely meet when my time ends here till then stay with your sister and children .I love you ( my heart goes out to all the people who lost their pet )

I'm so sorry to hear that you lost your poor bunny :(. I almost lost my baby two weeks ago. In the same situation as you, where all of the vets nearby either wouldn't see rabbits at all, or they only had 1 vet who could, and of course they were not there that day. I started googling the issue and ended up in hysterics, sobbing when I realized that he might die if he didn't eat soon. It was late at night by that point, but I called every emergency vet I could. Finally, at one that was almost an hour away, we found an amazing vet who would treat him. She was awesome, and the vet tech was great with rabbits too and had some of her own, which is very rare to find around here. It ended up being fairly expensive, but they did give us a few breaks on the bill -- he had to stay two nights. I was so anxious the entire time. I wish I knew what caused it, though. I've reduced the amount of pellets and increased the amount of greens, since he's already getting plenty of hay and water. I looked all around for anything he may have gotten into, but I'm just not sure and he can be a little thief at times <3. Anyways, my heart breaks for your loss since I know how I would be if I had lost my rabbit. I still will eventually have to go through the pain of losing him, but I hope that will not be for years.
