Yeti was rescued by a kind human in Suffolk County who found him on her lawn matted and in poor health. Upon his first checkup with our rabbit-savvy veterinarian, he was found to have head tilt, and missing molars. He needs preventative molar checks every 5 months with a rabbit-savvy vet to maintain those that are left. Yeti can be a very nervous rabbit in new spaces and is prone to GI Stasis. Despite his challenges, he enjoys hay-grazing, gets very excited for pellet time, is tiny, and sweet. While he is occasionally accepting of petting, this little floof is a fairly independent rabbit.
Our adoption procedure includes a phone interview, home visit, and any necessary education of potential adopters. Our adoption fee is a $150 donation per rabbit. All of our rabbits are spayed/neutered, health checked by rabbit-savvy vets, vaccinated for the RHDV2 virus, and fostered in private homes.
