Keep in mind that, in 1885, cocaine was both perfectly legal and an active ingredient in many patent medicines. Although it may not have been mentioned in the information shown here, it is highly unlikely that cocaine would NOT be the active ingredient in any kind of ‘wake up juice’ from that era.

I see why people are fine with default cloudy ice, this seems like a lot of extra work when most people just want to grab the ice and plop it into a drink to keep it cold.

Since Jägermeister launched their Manifest version, this drink takes a whole new dimension. I also make the new pseudo lime juice I learned from Steve the bartender. With these new ingredients, the simple sirup has become optional.

Yes, all of these details are cool and all but I’ll just suggest that people don’t try to save money the chosen tonic water. IMO the quality of that tonic water affects the taste more than the selection of the gin. So if you have a choice to buy a more premium tonic brand , get that. Don’t buy the cheapest.

does anyone know how I can make it less sweet? Just cut the sugar in half? Just noticing it is lacking flavor and is overly sweet is that what it's suppose to taste like?
