In the beginning, everyone is outside of their rooms to meet people. As the year goes on, people start to do their own thing but a lot of people still hang out in the common/study rooms. This goes for the new dorms, not sure about the old ones.

Hi! One thing that sticks out is that it is a commuter school so it's not as active as traditional college. Pomona itself is not a good area but the school is fine. I will always say your experience at the school is what you make of it and so far I've had a good time:)

There are a couple restaurants on campus not too many. The cafeteria (Centerpoint) isn’t terrible but you might not like it if you have a really weak stomach. You’ll get tired of it if you go every day. Foothill transit is accessible from the school but I would recommend to just make friends and grocery shop together:) a lot easier

As someone who lives in the general area, its in a good area of Pomona, right on the border of the city in fact.

I’d love to give a longer explanation but here’s the gist. It’s honestly what you make of it. You will definitely meet people and make friends especially if you’re dorming (as long as you don’t lock yourself in your room 24/7). You just need to make an effort to join clubs, study with friends, and get involved as goes for any school. I will say that it is a smaller campus in comparison to ones like UCLA but it doesn’t mean you won’t have a social life. It is a commuter school so a lot of people go home on the weekends but in the end it’s all up to you.

It’s a little bit of a dry school but of course there are a few.

Unfortunately no, you’ll have to take two shots. If you buy a Polaroid printer, you can print photos straight off your phone however many times!

I unfortunately wasn’t able to do freshman orientation due to covid but I don’t think it’d be too tiring. The campus isn’t too big and from what I’ve seen, they plan activities with you so you’ll be able to meet people and just have a fun time!

I believe you must be an incoming first year in order to apply. The option should say residential halls for the new dorms.
