We need singers who can subtly and gently deliver the song in the mainstream. As much as I love vocalists who can do all the runs in the world, when you listen to Dionne, Karen, Sade, Roberta, etc... these vocal runs start to sound hollow, empty and makes the message of the song hard to find. For me Lara Fabian has the most beautiful voice of her generation. She is untuchable when it comes to storytelling and performing and how she makes people feel the songs.
