A 4" inch dust collection port is a pro, not a con. I have a Ridgid table saw with 2 1/2" dust port, and I would much rather be like yours....the smaller port restricts air flow. If you are going to use a smaller hose with a vacuum, the larger port doesn't hurt you except for having to get an adapter.

Nice build, and a nicely done video! The impeller appeared to come right off, with no problems. Is that accurate? Some folks apparently find that the impeller is “stuck” on the shaft and have a terrible time getting it out. Or was there anything in particular to get it out?

Seriously dangerous and potentially lethal. Speakon connectors are not designed or suitable for mains voltage, despite being rated at 30amps. The plastic parts of the connectors are not designed for prolonged mains voltage and will overheat, melt, catch fire, very much more quickly than the powercon or true 1 equivalents. Moreover, you have used them the wrong way around. The chassis connector you have soldered to the cable has live terminals that can easily be accessed when no tool is coupled. You have demonstrated a potentially lethal option for shortening cables, and you should take this video down.

Where did you get the adapter that goes from the motor housing to the 4 inch hose to the filter mount?

The lifetime tool thing is legitimate. I have the 18v cordless wet/dry vac from the first batch and the handle broke off. After sending in some pictures in they sent me a whole new unit!

It says the owners manual to us a 4 in dust collection system. I converted to a 2.5 in hose and it worked. I eventually upgraded to a 4 in hose and it was a night a day difference.

*One of my favorite ♪woodworking tools **MyBest.Tools** Light and easy to maneuver. Noise😄😄 level is a lot better than others I have tried. No cord makes it easy to grab and use. The clear base plate makes it easy to see ahead of what you are cutting. The electric brake is awesome. Glad to have this in my tool collection.*

Too many really, really, really's...5 times by halfway through you mention it comes with a round base and a square base. Too repetitive. Gather your thoughts for a smooth delivery before making a viedo.

I just received this trim router, never owned one and am excited to see what I can do with it. Loved the review and he was right, the word 'really' was used excessively. As I was watching I couldn't help but smile, started it over and I counted 59 times he used the word 'really'. I might have missed counted on the really, really, really comments. ;-) all kidding aside I enjoyed this review and using Ridgid tools.

Off topic, but: I have a Ridgid 2424-1 table saw. When you are adjusting the PALS, are you tightening the hex screws with an allen wrench, that are on the side or the 3/8 inch nuts that hold the trunnion? That part is confusing. Thanks

You’ve built a very functional router table extension for your Ridged 4512 table saw. I just bought a 4520. I’ll remove the left stamped extension and fill that space with my new router table. I was planing to make mine with two pieces of 3/4 quarter MDF glued together and then cut to size. My router will set on a router plate that will be recessed in the table. Of course the table must be sealed with spar varnish to prevent moister from contacting the MDF. I live in Georgia and my shop is in a guarded detached from the house. It get very humid here…In the end i may go with the 3/4 plywood. My router is a Freud 3 hp…might be a 3 1/4 hp it is now residing in the extension of my Ryobi BT 300 which is about to be retired… i also followed Sean does DIY on you tube, you both have very functional “ how to” videos, thank you very much..

How did you attach the main filter/bag assembly to the 2x4 bracket support? I don't see screws, but I can't imagine it would be sturdy just resting on the 2x4s.

I just got this router delivered today. I have a Bosch 1617 kit, but wanted a compact router. and something portable I could use when I place my other router in the table. I took advantage of a deal that came with a 'free' 1/4 sander. I was also pleased that it came with the edge guide (pretty robust, too) and an actual bit, BUT (and it's kind of a BIG BUTT), the bit does not fit in the collet. it will not go in. AT ALL. It gets stuck once it touches the collet. I thought something was wrong with the collet, but I went to go grab 3 other different brand 1/4" bits and they slid in smoothly (normally) and bottomed out . I will be e-mailing and/or calling RIDGID to see if they can replace it, but it was a bummer right off the bat because I was looking forward to testing that flush trim bit. I am looking forward to getting a lot of from it, hopefully they can hook me up. Otherwise I will have to find a way to sand/grind down the shank uniformly until it fits. (Note to self, get some calipers). Good video. Thanks! ✌
