Thanks again for this insight into Icelandic society. I actually have some questions, but this is not the place to talk politics.

Great coverage as usual. It's great that you comment on the political situation in Iceland. It's important for people to know that every country has its own political situation - you dont have to be a superpower to have important politics because each country has to do the best to govern for its people.

Great report! Any significance of the characters/symbols under the eaves of the parliament building?

1881 refers to the year its building was complete, and the C19 refers to the Danish king Christian IX. The giant, a great bird, a bull and dragon are Iceland's "guardian spirits", which you can also see on our coat of arms!

every time I watch an Iceland video I wish my great-grandparents had not moved to the US and I somehow would have been born there. I know that is an impossible fantasy but I feel the connection to Iceland (great-grandmothers farm was Keldur) Thank you for the amazing news videos

There is something fun about having more than 2 parties in the mix, does seem to introduce some much needed compromise into politics.

Thanks for the very informative episode. Also it was nice to hear the sideways reference to Valur, whose work I miss terribly.

Something similar happened in Yellowstone park earlier this year. People were asking the same question (rising magma?!?!), but the USGS believed there was just more water reaching an existing deep hot zone. I.e., maybe a new path/superficial crack formed, allowing water to travel to the heated area causing new, elevated activity. Totally normal. And they believe it had been happening elsewhere in the park not accessible to the public. So the fact that there was a big steam explosion/eruption at a well-visited site, and was also recorded by tourists made it more of a news item than it rrally warranted (though it was actually scary bc people had to run on the boardwalk to avoid being clobbered by big rocks; thankfully no one was seriously injured). But, yeah, sounds like a similar thing happened(ing) in Iceland.

Hi! I look forward to watching your videos every week! I visited your beautiful country this past June, and I can't wait to come back. Swimming, though. . . . The water was cold in June. I just watched a couple walk into the water behind you, and, NO WAY for me!!

I was in Iceland for the first time last week, and towards the start of todays video I instantly recognised the sound of studded tyres on the road! Never seen them before as you cant use them on UK roads. A great report as allways and please keep them comming

I love the architecture and significance of Hoffa House. I enjoy reading Iceland Review articles and these videos. I fell in love with Iceland when I went there this last June. It’s nice to see it isn’t snowing yet in Reykjavik. Wish I was there to see Grindavik ❤️ own to tourists on. It must be bittersweet for the people who called it home. Gilfy who does Just Icelandic has done some great videos on Grindavik.

I am filled with so many thoughts I'd like to share. But I will say just this: With so much hate and bad feeling around the world... your story on the peace tower and your new Bishop's story still give me hope. I believe love will win every time. And I am so happy for you that your life has been filled with your family's love and support to live YOUR life!! 🏳‍🌈
