I crossed the straight from Algeciras to Ceuta, walked from the port to the Moroccan border in 100 degree heat with all of my luggage (never to do that again) and passed through this town on the way to Tetuoan. A pity that I missed you.

Chernivtsi is my wife’s hometown. We were there for the first months of the war. Beautiful city center!

They leave to make money. If they save it or send it home, they can buy more property, help their families at home start a business and support their family. Not sure what the monthly salary is but I know it is very low. The same reason my Irish grandparents came to America. They would laugh if they could see Ireland now. I think when you see how far your ten pounds goes in Albania that would answer your question. And ten pounds will go even farther for them because they are not tourists and do not pay tourist prices. And once the Albanians rebuild their trains and transportation structure and more tourists come, the day will come when they will be like Ireland.

I HAVE LIVED THERE ABOUT TOTAL 1 YEAR, AND THE FAULTS OF THAT PLACE ARE THE DISPOSING GARBAGE TOO FAR AWAY, THE HOTELS ARE TOO EXPENSIVE FOR WHAT THEY ARE, IN TIRANA SOME PLACES HAS NO WATER OR ELECTRICITY 24 HOURS , YOU NEVER KNOW WHEN WILL BE OFF. I DO NOT KNOW IF THE VLORA HAS SAME PROBLEMS.

Hey Danny, you speak such a good Ukrainian, why on Earth are you interviewing them in rashkan??? This is a shame! They all answered you in Ukrainian!, not in the lingo of the enemy! Why not take their example? This time I feel very disappointed. 😭😕

Because I spoke very bad Ukrainain this time last year when I filmed this. These guys off camera also spoke Russian, as most people still speak in Kharkiv. On camera they spoke Ukrainian, though I was not confident enough in my ability to do so. Though now I am)) i have improved my Ukrainian a lot over the last 6 months :) So instead of being disappointed that I used to speak Russian better, please be happy that I now speak Ukrainian well :)

I’m learning Russian, on your experience… it would be a good Ukrainian city to go to practice some Russian? Heard they speak more Russian here than Lviv

Hey, yeh they speak slightly more Russian than in Lviv and they are certainly less hostile towards Russian speakers. But still I don’t think it’s a great place to practice Russian, as many locals refuse to speak Russian now. Though for sure you will find locals willing to help you practice. I think Kharkiv, Dnipro, Odessa would be much better options.

@@dannyizbritanii1062 Yes, but I dont think the east of Ukraine is safe to go right now. Do you think Chernivtsi is the best city in the west right now to practice some Russian? Or maybe do you recommend another city?

@@santiagojimenez1022 Yeh probably Chernivtsi is your best option. Would recommend learning some Ukrainian too. Normally Ukrainians are much happier speaking Russian with you if you have already at least tried to speak Ukrainian a little and then switched to Russian because you speak it better. Than if you speak only Russian from the start. Just a few phrases will really help! :)

Strange how nobody differentiates the question of safety based on person's own religious, political affiliations and other demographical characteristics. Gonzalo Lira for example is in a terrible situation with security violated not because of war, rockets etc, but due to having political views that the local totalitarian government objected to. Similar to safety situation in 3rd Reich, for supporters of very far right ideas the situation is probably somewhat safe. But if you happen to be on the other side of political spectrum, dislike the notion of some being "über alles/ponad use" or happen to be part of one of the groups of undesirable people, than certainly it's better to not be there.

First of all the translator is talking in Russian is funny considering the Russian cleansing the Ukraine is going thru lol second of all I love the answer that they feel safe. It goes against what the Ukrainian government says about Ukrainian feeling unsafe, and in danger, that the Russians are targeting civilians. The price of goods shows the decline of Ukraine.

Как же много русских фашистов собралось в комментариях. Их мышление и пропаганда которой их кормят ничем не отличается от времен фашисткой Германии. Гитлер тоже решил захватить Судктскую область, а затем всю Чехословакию, что б защитить говорящих на немцком людей в Судетской области которых "притесняют". И пугалки такие же были относительно блока союзников, как у России к НАТО. Нацисты реально верили что они освобождают Европу, есть даже документальный ифильм начала сороковых годов сделанный нацистами, где все показывается с их перспективы: Союзники вторгаются и оккупируют, а они защищают Европу. И да в России есть свои нацисты и нацисткие организации которые открыто заявляли про нацизм и носят свастики(Раевский, Мильчаков, ДШРГ "Русич"), так что денацификация это липовая абсолютно причина. Настоящая причина то что русские фашисты недобитые.😅

I would take a risk, but not in winter- double whammy of rockets etc & the cold killing you lol. Might take my chances in the warmer months :)

Kyiv is going to be a modern European 🇪🇺 city very soon. The population there will undoubtedly grow- mainly due to internal migration. Kyiv, Odesa, Lviv will be the 3 main cities of Ukraine. Everywhere else in Ukraine will decline- but that's a chance to make Ukraine an agricultural & enviro friendly country. Possibly, with some no-go human zones to allow nature & animals to replenish.
