Explanations or a narrative would be helpful and this didn't show how to fade with just the Oster 76. People tell me they use that and then I see something like this with an entire arsenal of clippers.

Sense this seem to be haircutting troll chat, I'm just gonna say if your banging out 12 different clippers just to do this little fade, you almost can do this with no guard at all. Bick head one day, wait two weeks, and fade with no guard. I mean I can see if the cut is real work of art, and needs like 17 different clippers for crazy ass blow out or something.

I like how the metal blades made the fade look! I have 76s & I never use them, but I've been thinking of using them for when I do anywhere from a #1-3 on top. Looked pretty clean.

Hi I am learning to cut my own hair using the Oster 76 classic. I need help understanding which blades/comb attachments to use for a low fade. Also, if I add a 1/16 comb attachment to the Oster 000 what does that make it in mm? Do you have to add certain comb attachments to certain blades? My setup I use the Andis Outliner blade .1mm to skin the back and sides, the Oster 0A 1.2mm blade on the top and the Oster 000 0.5mm to fade, I also own an Oster 1 1.2mm blade which I don't use as I find it too high on top. Any feedback is much appreciated

Yo, I give this cut a b minus only because the shape up was not crispy at the corners. If you look closely at the line up you can see that the corners are slightly off.

Can you just use the lever open no guard instead of using the #0 guard closed?
@Beatbyawhiteboy5 жыл бұрын
Yes. Most barbers create the second line that way. Then, #1 guard for the third line.

Or even 00000. Imperceptible difference between 00000,000000 and outliner. Tenths of a mm i really wasted money on the outliner since i have 00000

I got a excellent vision and damn I can't see anything wrong in the fade. I'll bet money on you anyday bro. thanks for a sick ass technique.

you where blending with another clipper man, i was in prison as a barber and all we can use is 76 and 3 guards 000 1 and 2 everything else with comb. the way to blend is using the rake technique. have you seen that ? the way you hold the 76er like a pencil looks like you know the rake technique
@laurarogerson67556 жыл бұрын
rmiran In school everyone was doing fades with tapers and guards. It wasn't for me. I just use my 76 and clipper over comb it. Gives a smooth fade. I can't be bothered putting in lines I have to wipe out.

i've tried getting this but i kept backing out and going back to the high fade/manbun but i've been growing out the top for 2 years , so far it has been 3 months since i've had a fade anytips on continuing with confidence throughout the middle stage ?
@themuffinman21597 жыл бұрын
Man I know exactly how you feel, I use to have just a top knot with the high fade, no hair on the sides or back of my head, the hair on the top got pretty long I grew out for around a year and half, and then I saw my cousins haircut he got a cut just like the one in this video, and then I decided to grow out all my hair and do something similar, and now next month will mark a year that I grew out the sides and the back from a top knot, it felt like I was in the "awkward stage" forever but it gets a lot better after the 6th month(at least for me) but you have to just push thru it, there were a lot of times I wanted to cut it, but I was like I came to far to go back and that I the end it's worth it, the one item that helped me the most thru this growing process were bobby pins, I used them to hold down the sides of my hair that came out and then I'd tie the top of my hair into a ponytail that way it looked like I tied up all my hair except the back giving me like this "half style look" which also had the ponytail hang over the back and kinda have it flow/cover up the back at the same time, worked out fine for me, just keep going man, it's worth it in the end, good luck!
