On the surface this all sounds great. But seems like they’re preparing for 15 minute cities.

It would be awesome if the "Rebuild Illinois" plan dedicated more money to expanding rail service. If all these suburbs had streetcars, it would help with congestion and help people move around. Heck, a rail system connecting suburbs would be great. I don't live in Chicago anymore; I'm in the Navy. But I would love to go back. Awesome video.

I recently obtained a new job over in the West Loop of Chicago and I need to move ASAP. I've been looking at Naperville, but I'm afraid of the commute. I need to be in the office 4 days a week. Is taking the metra good and reliable? Is the long commute time worth it or should I be moving closer to the city? I have a small family with a young child.

Naperville has express trains, and if you want it a little closer.. maybe look at Elmhurst or Downers Grove? Shoot me an email, I can help

To make this video even more helpful, can you add chapter marks for each of the towns? I'd like to jump ahead to specific ones. And makes it more sharable for people who want to share about a particular suburb.

The thing is when will the 78 break ground on any building and Lincoln yards has built one building on the site but now complete silence on building anything else there.

What??? I was born and raised in Illinois (Maywood), but had moved to CA in 1997. I actually thought that the most richest suburbs in the state were in the north: Kenilworth and Winnetka. Funny how that’s changed, but Hinsdale?? Wow.... you'd think that OakBrook was richer than Hinsdale considering its proximity. What about River Forest and Barrington? There's money in those areas as well.

I'm over these developers pushing luxury living. How about provide affordable housing that's reasonable for folks?! Everyone does not have a six figure salary. Provide housing for essential folks: teachers, nurses, policemen, firefighters, etc... This luxury shit has got to stop!!!!!

Cool video sugar Grove and Montgomery also experiencing development. With the redline extension ready to start with construction how do you feel this will impact the long neglected south side neighborhoods. IMO that corridor will become the next frontier, hot spot, over the next decade, it has massive transit oriented developments written all over it

I lived in Naperville for almost 12 years. Downtown Naperville has become nothing but a shopping mall. It lost its uniqueness a long time ago. You are also talking about the more wealthy suburbs.

I am an old guy who shouldn't have a vote since I've lived in Phoenix about 80% of my life, but since I grew up in Westchester, not far from Elmhurst, I cast my two-cent vote for Elmhurst! Ever since leaving that area in seventh grade, I've always loved that area the most of any place I've lived in the US. However, I did work with a woman here in Arizona who was from Naperville, and she always used to say, "It's not Naper-ville. It's Naper-thrill!"

In my opinion my family has lived in both Hinsdale, and Tinley Park. Out of the two I preferred Hinsdale, however it’s definitely not the richest neighborhood in IL. When I was in Tinley everyone raved about Orland, saying it was the nicest, and the houses there are definitely nice. Both Orland and Hinsdale are great, but Orland takes the cake for the richest.

My son is being recruited by North Central so we were just out there to check it out. My wife and son now make fun of me for always talking about how awesome Naperville is!… I was bummed to leave! Apparently it is also highly rated as a place to retire? I would want to get a place close walking distance to downtown!

My wife and I ( coming from Germany ) are in our late 20s/early 30s and have been thinking about emigrating to the USA for a long time, as I can work from anywhere in the world with my own company. Naperville smiles very strongly at us as it seems incredibly idyllic, not too small & not too big + the close connection to a city like Chicago is of course also tempting. All in all, your video + some other videos only reinforced our impressions. We're going to see the whole thing live soon 😊
