Good job on the presentation. ✔✔ I agree the sweet spot for dailty carry is 20 ltr or less. Vertx will sell you many optional panels/ bags to load this bad boy out the way you want it, including their computer sleeve (when you cut out the one that comes w/ it -LOL) -or any other molle or velcro supplier for added kit.

I always take a knife sharpener with me. I’d recommend the work sharp field sharpener, the holy grail of knife sharpeners.

To be fair when I built my BOB I had all of the standard junk. Not trying to be critical. When I sat down and really thought about it I completely changed my bag. Now my bag consists of 90% food. The remaining part of the bag it shelter extra socks and a few of the standard fire kits etc. Of course there is no correct bag. You build it based on knowing your skills and your environment. I live in London. Waters not a problem, shelter can be made, food is the one thing you don't wanna take a chance on.

Fire steel, hat, water bottle,small shovel, emergency blanket, a hammock (gets you off the ground and takes up very little space), a more durable knife, a saw, more bandages and pads/ combine pads in first aid kit, ibuprofen, tums (you don’t know what else you might be eating), pepto bidmol (diarrhea can be dangerous when you don’t have much food), bug repellent, some type of toilet paper and personal hygiene, a small towel, and some salt pepper and a little oil, it doesn’t take up any space and it will make your time just a little bit more enjoyable

Poor design on the sternum /side strap. If yu chosse not to fasten iy you either have it hanging down or have to remove it, better design would be a small pocket on side of pack to tuck it away when not in use. Would be far easier to pull out n use rather than having to find it in the pack somewhere then connect both ends. INfact experiance tells me it would probably end up getting lost.

How do you deal with a firearm being the first thing exposed when you open the bag, and not being able the avoid that when accessing anything else in the bag?
