Hey Takota, thanks for making this video and sharing the experience. I'm thinking about going this route as well using a tempcast core kit. What kind and size of brick did you use? And what type of mortar did you use? Thanks for your time and answers!

Dr. John Sarno's book, The Mind Body Connection. A pioneer in the field. Highly recommend. Steve Ozanich's books are excellent too. So glad you both see this when you are young and spreading this to the world. Keep up the good work!

Not sure how you would be able to clean the inside of that fireplace for creosote unless you design in cleanouts. I don't see any on their designs.

Nothing beats a masonry heater. Had one built in one of our previous homes and it was awesome. Really miss it.

Great vid. I have been looking for a good explanation of a masonry heater and here it is. I have an off grid home currently heated by a wood stove. Masonry heater on the way! I am currently a slave to my stove. 6 hours maximum burn time and very fuel inefficient.

@13:28 You know, you could just pile concrete blocks around a cheap wood stove from Walmart, and that's your thermal mass on a budget. -Or stack it all the way up to the ceiling if it's not too high.- Less than $200 for a cabin-sized small wood stove, $1500 for house-sized. It's a great idea but $10000 sounds like a scam.
@wio2189Ай бұрын
It's not just thermal mass but routing the hot fumes through the structure of the oven. Ie the cheap stove is still way less efficient which is costly over time.
@pj_ytmt-123Ай бұрын
@wio2189 True. If you have the metal-working tools and know-how you can redesign the exhaust pipe for the woodstove. 😁

Good idea to use polycarbonate sheets as lids! Any ideas how to melt raised beds quickly in the spring? Mine are frozen till first half of the April, but external temperatures are typically above zero Celsius since mid or late March or so.
@TakotaCoen2 ай бұрын
This is not a raised bed, it is a cold frame. By not having the soil raised above the surrounding grade they can better use geothermal heat to warm up sooner. I planted this mid April this year. Check out the full video on the channel.

The overall discussion was fantastic. One point I will note is that over 5000 manuscripts were found testifying that a man named Jesus lived was crucified and rose from the dead 3 days later. We trust that Caesar was real and we have found less than 20 manuscripts attributed to him. He was a real person and it is my hope that one day more people will believe. Not through force or coercion, but true faith. I agree that the state uses Christian dogma against the public en masse and that it has been effective. But I don’t believe because the state does or doesn’t want me to but because the evidence directs me that way. Either way, we can agree to disagree. Thanks for the knowledge Takota! You’ll never lose my support for a spiritual disagreement like this. You are helping so many people. Your lifestyle, is how I believe God designed us to live. In tune with nature rather than battling against it. Much love and many blessings from KY

I happen to have acquired some used fiberglass panels, perhaps I could make a bed in front of my greenhouse, south facing. I would plant sorghum at the back and they would shade the end from scorching sun in summer.

The first year shown in the pictures back to front it was: 1 row beans/peas/cucumbers 1 row corn interplanted with beets 1 row mixed brassicas 1 row carrots/beets 1 row mixed lettuce 1 row onion sets About 4" between rows This year I took out the brassica row to give it a bit more space, and it was better. I think I will take out one more row and just have 4 rows total next year.

A small add on for thistles I cut just below the crowns.They won't regrow. Also they need light to grow so mulch will inhibit as will early growing more dense planting.

This was three years ago? That’s crazy. This interaction happened like two months ago. I guess she’s still holding onto it.

I'm not sure what i sent to you yet, but things like taurine's effects on plants and such are just the tip of the iceberg 🧊, feel free to ask. My most recent guess I assume you'll find impressive was assuming that cattle passes were aiding stonefruit germination rates due to (I didn't know this then but ..) paenibacilli breaking down wood. From what I can recall, this thought started with recalling Dr. Berg from years ago claiming that there are over 300 enzymes in raw milk. I've also assumed that those poisonous mushrooms were a defence mechanism (built in by The Creator so bovine couldn't be easily tracked by jungle cats/mountain lions when eating fruit in the forest (gotta figure since at least some of the lions were effected by catnip, then they'd likely bite anything with the scent of the thing they're after). There's actually a rather gruesome short which was sent to me, which I have no desire to share with you, but as far as the good things that aren't on this 30 year old "world wide" web, I got you😊 May God bless us brother, and have a great day 👍

Takota looking at your time lapse made me wonder why you don't mount the laser receiver onto the side of the bucket where the soil has already been removed. Looks like your part could be redundant since the operator was not taking full bucket loads.

You need to know that thousands of people died from starvation after the mechanization of home crafts. Many people shoved out on the street. Prostitution of woman and children was one of the only ‘jobs’ available for many. Many more shoved off to ‘the new world’ where they either starved on ship and then got sick and died if they were unlucky or if they stole bread for their kids shipped to Australia penal colonies.
